Sounds like the logic displayed in some transfer threads on the caf "he promised not to leave for free, so if we reject all offers he has no choice but to extend his contract". But who knows, maybe Mbappe is less eager to piss of a nation state than he would be with a regular football club.
Mbappe's holding all the cards and Leonardo is sounding a bit clueless there. The we've worked hard all Summer to show Mbappe our best team bit just made them sound weak.
Promising Kane that he'll be the absolute center piece of the club is hardly something new, is it? He already had that status before and it didn't stop him from seeking a move.

Ole wouldn't then tell him/his agent that he's in the plans and the agent wouldn't then be expecting more minutes. The agent would have been saying he wants his player out now, not leaving it as a potential future option.

That Guido Albers interview read like sarcasm from start to finish. I don't think either the agent or the player now genuinely believe that they will get chances this year - they just wanted to flag Solskjaer's public comments "in the English press". Notice they didn't make mention of any private assurances, probably because there haven't been any.

You don't actually HAVE to start two of the three though. You still have two other central midfielders in Pogba and Donny, with the latter for some reason not getting a game, like, ever.
