I actually can't believe they're paying more for Ramsdale than what they got for Martinez.Arsenal got £16-£17 million for Emi Martinez + add-ons for a total of £20 million.
Here's hoping thenI don’t understand the obsession with him, he’s been relegated at every club he’s been at. He was awful for Shefffield Utd last season.
They are paying HALF his wages. And United the other half. So yes its costing us money, but half of what it would have cost us if he stayed. @mazhar13 is right.Does seem very odd, they aren't even paying his wages, so it's still costing us money.
I thought we had a potential buyer lined up. If he's not in our plans, take 5M-10M, or whatever, put some money in the bank and save a few mil in salary too.
Ramsdale is absolutely awful. And if you’re paying 24m (rising to 30m) for a keeper, you’re not planning on him being back up.
140m spent this season and I don’t think they’ve really improved.

This makes envisaged transfer even more desireable…I don’t understand the obsession with him, he’s been relegated at every club he’s been at.

Not sure how your original points stands since you clearly say they aren't evening paying his wages, when in fact they are, even if its half, that's the point. Unless the last part is the point you referring to, that he is still costing us money, then yes, but not the wages part.
Here's hoping then

I doubt he'll have enough options available to him if that's the case.
The Fiorentina owner's desire, the [contract] renewal idea, [and] the [player's] representative's interests. The Vlahovic transfer is a big mess. Atletico Madrid is doing its thing: offer of €50 million + €10 million [in bonuses] + 20% future sale. At the moment he is still there and he does not stop believing. We will see if it will be enough. Difficult transfer.

You can dress it up as much as you like. You’re overpaying again and I am loving every second of it.Yeah, if he becomes the no. 1 then we can call him a 30m signing. But he's a 24m signing otherwise. 10m english player tax, so a 14m signing really.
I can't believe Bentaleb's still looking for a club. Schalke really are struggling to let go of some of their higher-earning/unmotivated players. Also, "FC Genua" = Genoa CFC in Italy
Relevant because this can affect football teams' abilities to buy players and pay for the transfers
United, City, Liverpool, Chelsea all miles ahead of Arsenal. Leicester, West Ham, Spurs probably too. Maybe some others even. It's amazing that they spent 125M this season without actually getting any better.
White (50M) + Ramsdale (25M) + Odegaard (35m) + Lokonga (15m).
I guess they're building for the long term and if some of the bets pay off, they'll have a nice side in 2-3 years. Fair play to them if it works out, but this season has to be a write off regardless of whether it works out or not in the longer term. I'd be very surprised if they finish in the top 6.
You're right. His contract did expire. His situation just reminded me of Schalke players like Kabak, who's yet to leave Schalke.I'm pretty sure his contract expired over the summer. But Schalke do indeed struggle to offload players.
[Donnarumma new Padova keeper?]
We'll see, it could be possible, we'll see.
[For an ambitious Padova a significant keeper?]
We're a humble club that wants to do things well, that is most important. If the thing materializes, then it's a good opportunity for him.
The other players: Amad and Teden Mengi
