What I don't get is how come when it comes to our younger players that are born in the UK & used to the British climate like Williams get loaned to British clubs yet Pellistri who has only lived & played in South America gets loaned to a Spanish club, a country that has a better climate than the UK, surely a player born in South America must get used to the UK climate, culture & style of play if he wants to succeed at UTD, right?
Better for Pellistri to play in La Liga where the standard is higher than the Championship.

Manuel Locatelli looks like the oldest young man in the world. Also like he smells of urine and hasn't washed his hair in months.

We could've got a result in the first match if we managed to sign him earlier, but better late than never I guess.

This was first reported by Alfredo Pedullà yesterday.

No transfer fee for Roma; 2-year contract offered to Pedro

Its going to be 24million, don't think he displaces Leno as first choice.
I was referring to if everything worked out. £40 million as a total package is too much for Ramsdale, but 30 is good enough for both sides.

For now, he may not displace Leno, but he's there to compete against him, not be his backup. There's no reason to pay £24 million Pounds for him otherwise.

Yeah, if he becomes the no. 1 then we can call him a 30m signing. But he's a 24m signing otherwise. 10m english player tax, so a 14m signing really.

Thought Ramsdale was shockingly bad whenever I watched him for Bournemouth. Wth are they spending £24m on a backup keeper for.

Even if we go with £14 million, I still find him overvalued, but I guess Arsenal think that he has more potential than it seems.

Then why not go for cheaper option and avoid paying English tax? Seems odd paying 24m for a backup keeper when you have so many other areas of concern

The other players: Amad and Teden Mengi

So, that leaves us with Dalot and Telles being our only FB alternatives to Shaw/AWB? Bailly/Jones/Lindelöf in emergencies? Anything left in the u23s able to play in the PL if shit hits the fan?

Arsenal transfers remind me of our horrible business under lvg and Jose. Ole has been very good in this department.

No one in our U23s team is ready for first-team football at this stage. Alvaro Fernandez is going to have his 2nd full season with the U23s, whilst Charlie Wellens will have his first full season with the U23s.

I think Lindelof might play as RB if needed, he did couple of times. Bailly also played as RB if I'm not wrong but relying on Bailly is like relying on Jones.

As feared. Only takes Shaw injury to have Dalot playing his least favored side for a few weeks then. What is the expected return date of Telles?

There's none as of yet. For now, we just know that Telles will be out for this month, at least.

I can't say I'm happy about it. But who knows, it does seem like we were in for Locatelli and Martinez but we're rebuffed both times. Maybe the transfer men are trying to add incremental quality wherever they can.

Why do players agree to these contract extension, and loan scheme? I meant if they flop during the loan, they're back and stuck again with Chelsea due to the new contract.
Job security + regular football at other clubs is my guess. Eventually, a buyer can come and allow the player to finally leave the club (e.g. Mario Pasalic).
