I never said it was a good thing. Andreas just left United with no other choice.I give up

Better for Pellistri to play in La Liga where the standard is higher than the Championship. What I don't get is how come when it comes to our younger players that are born in the UK & used to the British climate like Williams get loaned to British clubs yet Pellistri who has only lived & played in South America gets loaned to a Spanish club, a country that has a better climate than the UK, surely a player born in South America must get used to the UK climate, culture & style of play if he wants to succeed at UTD, right?
Its going to be 24million, don't think he displaces Leno as first choice. Finally, a breakthrough! £30 million is still a good deal for Sheffield United.
I was referring to if everything worked out. £40 million as a total package is too much for Ramsdale, but 30 is good enough for both sides. Its going to be 24million, don't think he displaces Leno as first choice.
Yeah, if he becomes the no. 1 then we can call him a 30m signing. But he's a 24m signing otherwise. 10m english player tax, so a 14m signing really.I was referring to if everything worked out. £40 million as a total package is too much for Ramsdale, but 30 is good enough for both sides.
For now, he may not displace Leno, but he's there to compete against him, not be his backup. There's no reason to pay £24 million Pounds for him otherwise.
Even if we go with £14 million, I still find him overvalued, but I guess Arsenal think that he has more potential than it seems.Yeah, if he becomes the no. 1 then we can call him a 30m signing. But he's a 24m signing otherwise. 10m english player tax, so a 14m signing really.
Yeah, something about being good on the ball. We'll see I guess.Even if we go with £14 million, I still find him overvalued, but I guess Arsenal think that he has more potential than it seems.
Isn't he a terrible keeper in general ? Why are arsenal so interested in him.He was quite poor last season wasnt he? Sheffield United definitely missed Henderson.

Henderson hasn't been linked to any club in this transfer window for now, and I doubt that Sheffield United would be able to afford him.Can see sheffield United going for Henderson now?
The other players: Amad and Teden Mengi

No one in our U23s team is ready for first-team football at this stage. Alvaro Fernandez is going to have his 2nd full season with the U23s, whilst Charlie Wellens will have his first full season with the U23s.So, that leaves us with Dalot and Telles being our only FB alternatives to Shaw/AWB? Bailly/Jones/Lindelöf in emergencies? Anything left in the u23s able to play in the PL if shit hits the fan?

As feared. Only takes Shaw injury to have Dalot playing his least favored side for a few weeks then. What is the expected return date of Telles? No one in our U23s team is ready for first-team football at this stage. There's none as of yet. For now, we just know that Telles will be out for this month, at least. As feared. Only takes Shaw injury to have Dalot playing his least favored side for a few weeks then. What is the expected return date of Telles?
I can't say I'm happy about it. But who knows, it does seem like we were in for Locatelli and Martinez but we're rebuffed both times. Maybe the transfer men are trying to add incremental quality wherever they can. Then why not go for cheaper option and avoid paying English tax? Seems odd paying 24m for a backup keeper when you have so many other areas of concern
Arsenal got £16-£17 million for Emi Martinez + add-ons for a total of £20 million. How much did Arsenal sell Martinez for?
Finally, a breakthrough! £30 million is still a good deal for Sheffield United.
Surprisingly, there's no purchase option here.
I agree. Which begs the question, why are Arsenal spending this much on a backup keeper. Its going to be 24million, don't think he displaces Leno as first choice.
Job security + regular football at other clubs is my guess. Eventually, a buyer can come and allow the player to finally leave the club (e.g. Mario Pasalic). Why do players agree to these contract extension, and loan scheme? I meant if they flop during the loan, they're back and stuck again with Chelsea due to the new contract.
