I can't see Haaland joining United, simply cannot visualise it.

Gut feeling says Kane will stay at Spurs with fractured relations with City. Then United will swoop next Summer for around £90-100m as our marquee signing.

At 19 Carrick played 33 games in a PL season for West Ham. He'd played approx 200 PL games for West Ham and Spurs by the time he joined us. Players don't just come good at that age without plenty of games at a high level.

So I back Garner searching for first team football, hopefully in the PL.

If you think this club would pay £90-100m for a 29 year old fairly injury prone player, I have a bridge to sell to you.

If Amad's leaving on loan, then that may suggest Elanga staying at United and fighting for a spot this season.

There's no way he would be a starter at City, who obviously have such an amazing track record with bringing through youth.

I think you missed the sarcasm in that post. Which was in response to a ridiculous post from the poster asking Mjebri to leave United.

I'm not going to get into another posters obsession about prices again because it really doesn't matter and wasn't the point of my post.

Call it £90-100m with add-ons, installments etc. They'd be looking for about that next summer and I think he'll be United's best option after Haaland. He essentially guarantee's you 20+ goals per season, which we haven't amounted since RvP got about 26 in 2012/13. That's how long we have gone without a lethal goalscorer and if it takes £90-100m to get one, they should.

Let's start again. Who will be the main striker at United if not Haaland ? ... because that's truly hard for to visualise. Cavani most likely going after this season and Greenwood will probably need at least one additional goalscorer there... Martial ?
 




This confirms what Simon Phillips reported earlier. Even Chelsea couldn't escape the little technical details.

Other strikers will have good seasons and emerge as players of interest.

Otherwise, maybe we would play Greenwood, Rashford, Martial, Hugill as our striker options.

Could then play Sancho LW, Amad RW. Or get another wide forward if striker isn’t available and Cavani leaves.

I think Garner’s a very good young player, but if he’s turning down contract offers we should consider selling him and inserting a sell-on fee. City, Chelsea and Liverpool make a fortune doing that.

Someone from the academy could be life saving and would save us tons of funds, however after Cavani feels like we'll need to get absolutely right man for that role, mentally strong too plus preferably not in the end of his career.

I think this might be worth it if we actually bring in a new young midfielder like Camavinga into the team. I wouldn't be surprised if Garner is waiting to see what United have planned for the midfield role before deciding on his future. I'd rather have this than see Garner leave as a free agent, anyways, like Angel Gomes did.
