No, I told you why a player like Haaland would want a clause like that in his contract with Man Utd.
Ok. Then I confess I misunderstood and still don't really get the reasoning. But it doesn't matter, at this point I feel like I'm arguing over sophist details that I don't mean to be arguing about it's not a big deal.

Yeah but Utd were trying to sign him weren't you. And the transfer sum was a joke, what was it 20m €?
I repeat myself, something doesn't add up. I laid out my reasoning above. Apart from that, I have no clue, and of course it's very possible he joins you next summer.

Think it’s pretty obvious Raiola knew Haaland’s value was only going to increase and then the family and him could cash in. They knew if he went United from Salzburg we wouldn’t sell him if he reached his potential. So he’s sold to a stepping stone club who agree to all the terms and Haaland is guaranteed to play. It’s going to happen a lot more and part of the reasons why laws on agents need to be brought in.

250k per week...wow, I wasn't expecting such a large salary.

Do you believe it every time? Same goes for every club - journalists guessing themselves silly. City player wages in the last financial report was £307m across 477 staff (including the players). If every player was walking away with the reported £12m per year then we’d be struggling. Grealish was £20m / £370k a week all on his own apparently!
Awaits the Inevitable ‘but what’s paid off the books’..

I wouldn't necessarily label him as such, but he did have his best performances for Spurs last season. With that said, he still can be more influential for Spurs. I'm kind of surprised that Nuno may not be that keen on him.
Sound like he's their version of Di Maria. He has His mind else where. Came there because Spurs could pay the fee to Lyon and good wage.

All Spurs managers found issue with his attitude/commitment.

What about what's paid off the books though ;)

So you believe the united players salary but not City's?
Dont be naive.

Liverpool are smart with it. I reckon around 12-15m or so will get him. If Nat Phillips had the season he had with us, we’d have given him a new contract and struggle to sell him in 2 seasons.

Of course we don't believe the financial reports. You really think Mancini was a one off?

Right. That's a good argument if you believe he was afraid of the competition back then.

Wouldnt be strange if he was. Not to mention going directly to Premier League from Austrian Bundesliga. Lot of players have felt the difficulties of coming from smaller league s too soon

Notice how Lukaku has had his medical in Italy, and is now flying to England, quick smart?
Meanwhile, Rafa Varane....???

Varane was also on holiday. If we were doing the Varane deal this week it would likely have had similar timing.

That was just the first part of his medical. He'll complete the remainder of his medical in England.

Official: Young Welsh winger and former City player Rabbi Matondo joins Cercle Brugge on loan with a purchase option.

Of course, not every player's getting paid super-large salaries, but that's why we aren't talking about every single player getting 250k+ per week. I'd like to see what the base salary amount is, too, to see how much of it is variable.

By the way, I wonder why you've excluded other costs for employee benefits when other clubs' financial statements aggregate them all together.

Note: this is Yacine Adil, a playmaking midfielder in Bordeaux, and not Yacine Adli, who's a tricky winger/attacking player in Toulouse.

I don’t see Haaland going to Bayern. I can’t see him staying in Germany.

Plus if he did that he would go from saying how much he loves Dortmund to peeing Dortmund off by joining their biggest rival in Germany, well the Dortmund fans anyway as we all know that Dortmund (the club) have history in giving Bayern their best players with no fight from Dortmund whatsoever.

I always rated Shakiri. Whenever I have watched him for Switzerland or one of his clubs, he has looked decent. Why’s it not worked out? Fitness?

I would guess it doesn’t help when Salah, Mane and Firmino are always fit, never pick up injuries and Klopp wants to play them every minute as the margin of error against Guardiola and City in a league season is minuscule, so rotation is a huge gamble and therefore the likes of Shaqiri and Origi miss out.

This confirms that Lukaku will indeed travel to England to complete the rest of his medical and seal the deal. Let's see if his integration into Chelsea will also be delayed.

Is that really delayed? Offer finished Sunday. Medical on Monday and flight to England. That is fast track to me.

Dragging a bit…power games still going on maybe?

I don't know what the problem is for Messi, it is clear that PSG are the only club willing to pay the wages he demands (or close to it anyway) unless he is hoping Pep comes to his rescue as winning the French league probably isn't such a big deal for Messi.

I'm kind of gobsmacked Roman at Chelsea ain't all over this, we all know he's got the money to pay Messi's huge wages if he really wanted to, I thought Messi would've been the signing for Chelsea he has always dreamed of, golden opportunity passing him by in my opinion.

Lukaku was vaccinated during the Euros.

Corriere della Sera’s print edition said a few players in Roberto Martinez’s squad had refused to take their first dose for fear of unwanted side-effects.

Lukaku was one of the players who did agree to be vaccinated, as were Dries Mertens, Eden Hazard and head coach Martinez.

Sounds about right, although he has been injured a lot. I actually really like him, but we need someone better so that we can rotate without a big drop in quality.

Hopefully, him leaving means that we’re looking at alternatives.

Good move for his development. He is going to face more intense defence now.

Does England have a hotspot rule? That seems odd that someone from Spain would quarantine but not someone from Italy?
They do. Both Italy and Spain are in the same category. The only reason Varane would have had to quarantine is if he wasn't fully vaccinated (2 doses is my guess). Let's see if Lukaku's fully vaccinated.
