Hes not signing a new contract, he is leaving Atletico. Not saying to us but hes definately leaving if you followed anything that has been happening with him that would be obvious.

Saul is contracted until 2026 if I'm not mistaken. I don't think this used as leverage to get some new deal with his existing club.
He signed a 9 year contract in the summer of 2017. So his current deal doesn't expire until 2026.

I’m going to allow myself to dream. Sancho, Varane and Saul would be an FM summer. For all the doubts I have about Ole’s ability to get us over the line and actually win something, it would be impossible not to get excited after a summer like that.
