If he's not good enough now then when will he be, I can only see the loan serving as a purpose of driving up his transfer fee, a good loan spell and he could be in demand.

Manchester United selling a ‘good player’ isn’t abnormal. There are plenty of good players who are surplus at top clubs, and I think Axel may well be in that category. He’s going on 24 now and barely gets a game here.
If we need to sell to buy, we need to not deceive ourselves and think the only player we are happy to sacrifice is Phil Jones. Some ‘good’ players should go, and I’d start with the ones who play about 5 games a season and have 5 senior pros ahead of them.

They could easily raise £80m without touching any of their core like you said. Players like Barkley, RLC, Tammy could all fetch up to £25m minimum each.

Not impossible but highly unlikely- Konsa was probably better than Mings last season.I don't think it's out of the question that Axel could come in for Konsa. Most Villa fans seem to think they need another cb, whether it's for cover or a starter.
