So quiet on any outgoings from our club.

Should sell Lingard, Andreas atleast by now.

And then there are others like dalot, james Henderson/de gea/pogba etc.. on whom call needs to be taken.

 everyone start spamming his Instagram with Red emojis!
“Hello Varane, come to Besiktas. Err I mean Manchester!”
You’re late with that. Go look at his insta comment section. It’s nearly call “Come to United”

Varane has joined to caf and appreciates all those positive Ole threads.
Varane said he was initially keen on joining Utd but after seeing a couple of threads from that Cartwheel fella, he is now having doubts

What we need more than any other player is someone in the middle of the park who can keep the game ticking over by religiously keeping the ball. We give it away cheaply far too often and it cost us massively in Europe, and against shit teams in the league who defend deep.

We were never a possession team under Fergie but we could grind the lesser teams down late on by passing left to right and waiting for an opening. Now a donkey touch or inexplicable pass stops us from doing that. The likes of Pogba and Bruno (our better players) are the worst culprits.

Had no idea they have already amassed £50m in sales/sell-on-clauses already. Without sales, I'm sure they would have the budget for one of Kane or Grealish. With a sale of a big name like Gabriel, Sterling and/or Laporte, it makes them signing Kane and Grealish not so crazy.

I don't have a Telegraph sub. Where have they raised the 50m aside from the 10 or so for Sancho?

What team has the money to buy a Sterling or Gabriel? The Spanish clubs are skint, Psg have already spent and reportedly need to sell before they buy, Bayern Munich won't pay over the odds, Italian club mainly doing loans this summer. I guess a English club but no one can afford their wages.

Harrison to Leeds: £13m
Angelinho to RB Leipzig: £16m
Sancho sell-on-clause: £11.2m

Lukas Nmecha to Wolfsburg: £11.2m (not confirmed but should be happening according to the article)

Total of £51.4m

It also says they have the following players could leave and have the following valuations (I've never heard of any of them - all been out on loan)

Yangel Herrera - valued at £20m
Ivan Ilic - valued at £15m
Morgan Rodgers - valued at £10m
Porro - valued at £15m

Wages are probably the biggest issue but they could get pretty decent money for them if the players are keen to leave.

That's pretty impressive.

Thanks for sharing the details!

I’m assuming Shaw gets 3 weeks or so off after the Euros too. Telles might even start the first game or two of the season depending on how he does in preseason.

Good, Shaw will need rotation and Telles is decent cover for the easier games. No way we should be binning him off.
Yep keeping telles is important. Shaws form improved massively when he actually got some competition for his spot. Also Shaw has learnt off Telles and improved his delivery from crosses and dead balls. Something Telles was already good at.

Tuanzebe will probably go on loan I reckon. Long term he takes Bailly/Jones’ spot as the perennially injured CB who has talent but never comes together.

The ‘keeper situation is interesting. The signing of Heaton does open the door to one of them going. De Gea would make more sense to leave as at this point he’s the weaker keeper but he’s on so much money that it doesn’t seem possible. On the other hand, Henderson could command a nice fee (30m or so?) but he’s the better ‘keeper at this moment in time.
This has to be his final loan if he's gonna make it at United. Still not sure he will though, which is a shame as he had potential like you say.

Personally, I would give Henderson a chance. He's got potential and we pride ourselves on our academy products for a reason, so might as well give him a chance. De Gea won't be getting any better and I reckon he's lost his mojo from complacency over the years. He needs a move to get his career back on track.

Exactly, between ole's coaching, Shaw's hard work and the looming presence of an able bodied replacement in Telles, Shaw has had his best season for club and country. I hope he would keep up that intensity if it was just Williams behind him but I don't see that happening and I also think ole would be reluctant to rest Shaw and he'd have to play every minute of every game as a result.

Aye, good move. We think this might stop Mengi's loan move to Derby then? Or are we going to keep the rest of our senior CB options?

Maguire/Varane with Lindelof/Bailly in as cover? Dount we'll flog any of our options with the exception of Jones who we'd attempt to swap for a packet of crisps.

Everyone else is trying to raise over £100m in the market yet we are trying to loan everyone. Axel should be sold, insert a buy-back if you must, but he can fetch us a good fee. He and Williams could fetch close to £30m. Chelsea just sold Guehi for about £18m ffs.

They sold him straight after he had a full season and more importantly three good televised games in the playoffs for Swansea. We should’ve done exactly the same with Axel the season he helped Villa come up.

There's a good player in Axel. We shouldn't need to sell him to raise some funds.

A loan deal at a suitable club is by far the best option in his case at this moment in time IMO.

If he impresses on loan and we still don't have space for him next season, then we can maybe sell him at a good price.

The question is HOW good? Manchester United selling a ‘good player’ isn’t abnormal. There are plenty of good players who are surplus at top clubs, and I think Axel may well be in that category. He’s going on 24 now and barely gets a game here.

If we need to sell to buy, we need to not deceive ourselves and think the only player we are happy to sacrifice is Phil Jones. Some ‘good’ players should go, and I’d start with the ones who play about 5 games a season and have 5 senior pros ahead of them.
