Hopefully thats just negiotation tactics to try and get Madrid to accept a slightly lower amount.

Hope so, his signing would be more important than Sancho in my opinion. Ole will surely push for this deal if the reported difference is only €5m.

If he goes into another season with our current CB pairing and inevitably McFred then I don't think he will even be here next summer.

Madrid might try waiting till the end and pull a fax machine trick and present it to Varane like we didn't do enough and get him to sign a new deal.

450k a week… see if he pulls a DDG style decline and we can all laugh about the bullet dodged. Thing is I’m not sure he’s even the best defender out there anymore for that kind of outlay. Is he on the wain? He certainly has the best CV of anyone on the market but surely there’s someone on the way up who we could invest in.

I hope we don't assume that Varane will wait for us a year. If he's available on a free next summer there's going to be more competition for him than right now. We'd be foolish to wait and play that kind of verbal agreement game with him.

Chelsea fan posting a negative Varane tweet as soon as they saw it. They are desperate for it not to happen, don't they?
I have no worries about Varane to United. I've seen him against our sh*tty attack last season.

Nope, they take the information from the exact same Sport Witness article that you linked a while back. This Tweet links to a live United transfer news tracker, and in it, you have this:

Nice try on WUM-ming the Caf, though, with this Tweet.

It absolutely is, but it's contingent on Varane accepting to join us. Varane's decision is all that remains to take this saga to the next step.

So the United supporter that posted it in the Varane thread is WUM-ming the caf?

You might be because your Tweet shows up in the Transfer Tweets feed, which many on the Caf monitor whilst not necessarily being active in the Transfer Forum. If that wasn't your intention, then I apologise, but keep in mind that any Tweet posted here will show up in the feed.

To be fair, as a Chelsea fan, there is a part of me that snickers a bit that it might drag on for a long time, just as a Chelsea fan I want the Haaland transfer to be more than wishful thinking.

As a football fan, I find all transfer stories of top players fascinating. I am a bit of a transfer junkie checking my twitter feed at least five times a day. I enjoy the Red Cafe twitter feed as there are so many people from so many time zones posting to it, it stays busy 24/7. I would think most English fans are asleep while I am checking at night in the EST zone.

We have Alvaro Fernandez that we took from Real Madrid last summer I think, he's playing as a LB.

The headline in the Tweet comes from Bild (article by Jörg Weiler), but the article covers a segment from Sky Sport Germany's "Transfer Update - Die Show". In it, Max Bielefeld invited Sky Sports UK's Kaveh Solhekol to discuss the Haaland transfer saga.

What Kaveh said:

More Kaveh quotes:
It's very, very complicated because Dortmund has already sold Jadon Sancho. BVB says very clearly: We are not selling Haaland, he is not for sale.

They [Chelsea] say: we have the money, we have Roman Abramovich and we can buy any player in the world. That's why the Blues will try to sign him (Haaland).

What Max Bielefeld said about Raiola:
Our information is that Raiola demands around 40 million euros in commission for himself as a consultant.

The idea of us signing any highly rated player on a free is hilarious, we're always too slow to act. If Varane and Camavinga both intend to see out their contracts, then neither will be coming here.

PSG and Galatasaray are in negotiations for Layvin Kurzawa. If the contours of the deal (loan or transfer) can be defined, the discussions will advance. But the French still have to be convinced. [The] Turkish leaders want to go fast.

If the player were to accept a departure - which is not yet the case - PSG would seek to finalize the arrival of a [new] left-back.

Cracking player.

Alas the downfall of United Woman's team continues.
I'm not sure we were ever that serious about investing in the women's team. Just virtue signalling from the Glazers and eventually the coach and now the players saw through it.

Damn, great player. Probably makes sense though, considering her whole family are in London and her brother plays for you.
And the issues around United womens team

What Max Bielefeld said about Raiola:

Did anyone at Chelsea really say that? No! The story is big enough, there really is no reason for “journalists” to add this type of bs drama.

Ole on the loans:
Gradually, more and more players from the Euros will join in. They’ll [the youngsters] get a taste of some football. Then roundabouts early August, some will go on loan. We’ve already lined up a few and some of them are still in discussions between us and the players about where is the best place to go.

This is from Loïc Tanzi.
  • Myron Boadu will be Jovetic's replacement (who left as a free agent).
  • Raiola is Boadu's agent.
  • Talks are progressing between Monaco and AZ Alkmaar. They may reach an agreement in the next few days.

Yeah, Kaveh is not that well-linked and tends to go off of what others have already disclosed (like most of Sky's journalists). Personally, I wanted to highlight what Max said about Raiola, which is more shocking to me and why I hope that we involve him less in our dealings.

This will be a coup for Monaco.

Makes a lot of sense for all parties, I think.

I'm in the wrong profession. Should have been a consultant to football players.

AS Roma would like to recruit Kurt Zouma (Chelsea) on loan. José Mourinho is very fond of the French defender but the London club do not want to loan the former Saint-Etienne player for the moment and ask for more than 30 million Euros to release him.

EDIT: English Tweet
