Messi's going to take a paycut too right? They're still have too much in terms of wages but can't get rid of the big contracts (a problem we're unfortunately very familiar with).

Messi 1.3M p/w (Or even more depending on who you ask :eek:)
De Jong 400k p/w
Pique 250k p/w
Busquets 300k p/w
Umtiti 230k p/w

etc

None of these players would be on anything close to those amounts elsewhere.

De Jong is on 400k? Who is negotiating these deals for Barca. I doubt he was even on 10% of that at Ajax. No wonder they’re fecked.

Is there any way of knowing what it actually was given we're a public company? It looks like the German sources are saying 85+10 to make it look like we basically gave Dortmund what they wanted and the English sources are saying 85M EUR straight up.

We'd have to find that out from Dortmund. They'd make that sort of an announcement. I don't think I've seen United announce their deals to their investors in the way that Juventus, Dortmund, and the Portuguese clubs announce their deals.
