A little bit of research goes a long way....but ok, since you asked.

Murtough deals with the day to day dealings with Transfers
Matt Judge deals with player contracts once deals have been agreed
Woodward then takes the deals to Joel and will then sign them off.

Article From The Athletic Explaining Murtough's Role & how it fits in with Woodward and transfers.

Here is a video which also explains Murtough's role:

Happy Now?

Where's Justin Cochrane fit in?

No I'm not fecking wrong.

Murtough is the main point of call.

Woodward still has a finger in the pie so to speak in transfers.

Him "being on holiday" as some sort of self-hating rhetoric has nothing to do with the clubs day to day running of the transfer business. Murtough deals with that. As shown by the video.

Woodward/Joel Glazer is literally the last step of the transfer structure according to that.
Agree to disagree

must have missed something... Did someone say there were talks?

It is Romano at his best whenever his aggregator does not work, just add from fantasy island. I am worried for his sanity, the next step in this downward spiral is morphing into Palmeri. Both support Inter, by the way. :wenger:

Varane looks like he is heading to PSG now. Tired of big players in Europe using United as a weapon to get bigger contracts at their clubs or to secure moves to other clubs.

Next time it happens rather then playing along......United should leak some info to the press that they have no interest in signing the player and never have. Weakening that players position in their contract negotiations.

Watch how quick this s**t ends.

Did the players camp ever say they were interested in the move to United?

Theres only one source linked Varane to PSG. Not saying it won’t happen but it seems early to admit defeat

  • Sterling will holds talks over his future.
  • He's not interested in being used to bring other players in (via trade deals, loan offers, etc.).
  • Both Spurs and Arsenal would struggle to afford Sterling (fee and/or wages)
  • 2 years left in the contract
    • Talks will commence after the Euros
    • City interested in a long-term deal
  • City targeting both Kane and Grealish

Practically everything closed between OM and Konrad. No loan, the player will sign for 4 seasons. Buy back for Barça [possible] after the second year.

Di Marzio just said they have contacted Bayern for Tolisso
Right, and Romano tagged Sky Sport Italia, which is where di Marzio disclosed the news. Romano's basically relaying similar news but with different words.

Anyways, here's the article with more details:

The article also mentions that Juventus will meet up with Jorge Mendes to discuss Cristiano Ronaldo's future. He'll be okay with leaving as long as another team can pay his high wages. United and PSG are both interested, but there are barriers to moving to either side.

Wait, why are Fiorentina going after Goncalo Guedes? Have they not seen how much Lozano struggled under Gattuso? Same with Under, for that matter; neither are wingers who'd fit into Gattuso's setup. Neither will offer enough, defensively, or be as disciplined on the attack with their very specific roles.

The key part of that article (thanks to @Rolaholic):

By the way, that is a word-for-word quote from the article. Also, Ducker doesn't state this, but that's the total package, not just the base fee.

  • Apparently, Gasperini wants a better keeper, which is why Musso got linked, so that will make Gollini leave.
  • Nuno Tavares is valued at 15 million Euros.
    • Napoli is also interested.

Not sure if Laporte would want to go to Villarreal. I'd imagine it would only be Barca and Madrid.

Hear ya, and agreed. However, I don’t think Barca can afford him, and doubt Madrid will go for him since it seems like Ramos is staying and they’ve just signed Alaba. Unless they do not plan to play Alaba in defence.

[Add] Why are we not being linked with any defensive midfielders? I would even take Colisso here, even though he failed at Bayern.

Seems Ole and the gang are prioritizing a CB and there isnt enough money for both , at least not for a first XI DM. Might be they buy a very cheap one to develop possibly

Tolisso was too often injured. Had he been available more he would have probably ended up as a nice squad option for Bayern. He is not starter material though. Juve and Bayern have a good relationship (Coman, Vidal, Costa etc) so I expect a reasonable fee should he move there. And i totally believe that Bayern would be happy to sell.

Given Jesse's form for West ham we'll probably get 20m for him.

I'm a bit confused by what Lindelof and Fred have to do with it and why you seem to think 20m is a lot of money.

Also what does average mean to you? He's only worth 5m and should be playing for someone like Palace? Funny how the La Liga champions want to keep him, and United want to buy him then isn't it? Clueless fools
Those 20m can go towards getting a starting CB or CDM. And yes 20m is a lot of money for clubs that know how to use them properly.

If telles cost what he cost then trippier is surely 15m for an England international
I am not sure about Telles's contract situation last year, and he was also younger.

You can keep banging that drum, but most AM-fans consider him among their three best players this season. The club that won La Liga this year.

Poor or average? Obviously not.
Most AM think Trippier is their top three best players in a side consisting of Suarez, Oblak, Llorente?

I'm confused so you don't think we should buy a RB at all or we should only buy one for 5m?

Why do you think he's only worth 5m? You've said average a few times but that's clearly not true.

Tottenham sporting director Paratici wants to double swoop fot two Inter players. Banking on his previous relationship with Marrotta to help.

€22m for De Vrij.

€25m for Brozović - 12 months left on his contract.

No way! You'd think everyone would be all over this, especially us.

€14m bid for United rejected considered ridiculous by Atletico Madrid.

Release clause is set at €40m, and a fee of around €35m should be enough to satisfy the Spanish champions.
