That Kounde lad from Sevilla any good? He should be our Plan B
Not enough to warrant his price :/
That Kounde lad from Sevilla any good? He should be our Plan B
Our second choice was always Pau Torres, wont be a long search
The shittest la liga competition since I remember watching Spanish football. You can keep banging that drum, but most AM-fans consider him among their three best players this season. The club that won La Liga this year.
Poor or average? Obviously not.
Woodward taking a bizarrely timed holiday again?
Nothing like a true challenge; joining PSG.
You think? I've heard he's meant to be very goodNot enough to warrant his price :/
end of fiscal year on June the 30th?
Are Varane, Torres and Kounde the only centre backs int he world now or something? Varane is obviously quality but 28, turned us down before, won everything, I wonder if the hunger still there "wants to go back to France" may or may not suggest otherwise.
Torres for me isnt anything special, certinaly not defensively anyway and Kounde is too much money.
ROmagnoli is probably half the price of the cheapest of that lot, Romero has won defender of the year in Serie A and is cheaper than any of that lot. Then there is Bastoni and DeLigt also in Serie A, plenty of other centre backs and personally dont want a Galatico signing and think all thhe other centre backs mentioned are better than Torres and Kounde
CAF: Give us structure in the transfer comittee! Give us a DOF!
*Man Utd appoint a DOF*
CAF: YEAH!! About time!
Slightly negative news about Man Utd’s transfer activity.
CAF: Woodward fecking up again I see!
Despite there being a lengthy thread about United hiring a position that was we were so desperate for, which for a lot of this transfer period or since the prem ended, why do I always have to correct posters that Woodward is no longer the point of contact for transfers?
I’ll say it again. Woodward is not dealing with transfers this year.
In actual fact, the fact United’s transfer dealings will take place in July shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone considering there’s the Euro’s on.
I remember when Jann-Fiete Arp made his debut and impressed for Hamburg at a very young age. He's still 21, but he's been quite since that impressive early period.
I’d be sorry to deprive myself of him, but at the same time he deserves a top club. I deny an offer from Leeds. Inter made an enquiry, there are some foreign clubs interested, but nothing concrete.
If I may ask, I would like to read on what was said about Mata and other players. PM me if it isn't is too nosey and if you're ok with the request.
Similar to Nick Cox who is the head of academy but can can also be described as the Sporting director at youth level. You mean like a Director of Sport?
A) I wasn’t complaining
B) I’m almost certain no transfer can get done this summer without Woodward’s stamp
Technically that is not correctIn other news: Water is wet.
Well, United’s scouting department and coaching staff clearly disagrees with you.
Wont think DeLigt is doable as well.
I highly doubt that you know that or that it is true but okJoel Glazer is the one that stamps the transfers. Woodward takes Murtough’s work to him
If not Varane then Pau Torres, 100%
Of course, Inter Miami are interested in Young.
You mean "too old" right? He's 35 years old.Too young to go to MLS yet, me think.
I highly doubt that you know that or that it is true but ok
A little bit of research goes a long way....but ok, since you asked.
Murtough deals with the day to day dealings with Transfers
Matt Judge deals with player contracts once deals have been agreed
Woodward then takes the deals to Joel and will then sign them off.
Article From The Athletic Explaining Murtough's Role & how it fits in with Woodward and transfers.
Here is a video which also explains Murtough's role:
Happy Now?
The Athletic have also said that every signing has to be mutually agreed by The head scout, the chief exec, the owner, the manager and then Murtough etc
so no, not happy. You’re still wrong
