I don't think he's implying anything in particular there other than getting better-quality players to improve the whole squad. Whether they be starters or bench players wouldn't matter, I think.Bit worrying, I'd rather we look for starters to displace the current options. Not sure if that's what he means though.

Inject me with signings
He’s now said in two days “we need quality” and “we need depth” (paraphrasing a little)
He won’t get both
Additionally...
If you get quality then you automatically get depth as well.Inject me with signings

Which is a worryHope so but this part is out of his control. All down to Woodward and Judge from this point.
I see it as him putting the pressure on Woodward + Judge, kind of like a, "Don't ask me about how far transfers are going; it's up to the higher-ups."What a nothing statement.
Yeah, I’d of liked Sancho but for me it ain’t happening so I’m hoping we’re concentrating on other targets but when it comes to Woody and Judge I think “concentration” is something they’re lacking in.After tonight I'm even more convinced that spending our entire budget on one player looks crazy as good as Sancho is. We need about 4 or 5 player so spending so much on one isn't going to help us that much.
Need new fullbacks. Need another CB.
Well sure but if they get a £70m+ player in one position, that’s likely to be the only game changer you’re getting. If you get quality then you automatically get depth as well.
Both buying a first 11 player and buying a backup player improves squad depth.Bit worrying, I'd rather we look for starters to displace the current options. Not sure if that's what he means though.

Other positions will still suffer.
imo we need 3 top quality signings who are all natural starters. 3 Bruno level signings
I doubt we'd be getting in 4 or 5 players and we did buy a fullback last summer. I think we need to push Laird into first team consideration so that he can give us something different when we are chasing a goal because there is no way we are buying another Right Fullback after dropping £50m on AWB.After tonight I'm even more convinced that spending our entire budget on one player looks crazy as good as Sancho is. If I'm being a little overeager about it, it's because United fans tend to be overeager to criticise this club. The point of my Tweets is not only to get everyone caught up but to show that the situations we face tend to be faced by other clubs as well.
In the case of Binks, whilst they may not have gotten a compensation package, they probably could have demanded a higher fee from Bologna. Montreal don't have as much money as Bologna do, so if they were the only suitors at the time, I can see how they wouldn't get as much money off of him.
Last time the United manager bought a player in a certain position and then asked for another player in the same position led to his dismisal. So ... I don't think we'll go for a top quality full back.We probably won't but sometimes you have to hold your hands up and accept you got it wrong. We bought the wrong right back. He just isn't Utd quality and never will be. You have to be more than a just a good tackler.
I'm trying to understand what you wrote there, but my success is as much as the success of United scoring a goal from open play.Yeah, I’d of liked Sancho but for me it ain’t happening so I’m hoping we’re concentrating on other targets but when it comes to Woody and Judge I think “concentration” is something they’re lacking in.
More details on the Aubameyang contract renewal:
Summary: 250k Pounds/week over 3 years
So big-money contracts to both Willian and Auba...I wonder how they'll be able to improve their team further given that they might lose Ceballos and still need to improve their back line (even with William Saliba coming in).
I’ve been waiting for these rumours to start popping up, wouldn’t be surprised to see him go, but would much prefer him to stay, this is why White won’t be sold. Fully expect to see Duffy leave as well.
I thought Solskjaer's comments were well measured. By not substituting players until the 85th minute and with these comments he is putting pressure on Woodward and Judge that transfers need to happen. We also need to get rid of players not good enough.I see it as him putting the pressure on Woodward + Judge, kind of like a, "Don't ask me about how far transfers are going; it's up to the higher-ups."
I just checked to be sure, and yeah, I was wrong; there was no fee. That was a mistake on my part. If you want something else from me to make you feel better, let me know.Sorry i don't know what you're trying to say, are you saying Montreal paid a fee for him? That I would highly doubt. No fee would mean no fee for Bologna either and on the very miniscule chance there was a fee involved then a player being sold for a bigger fee than he was originally bought for happens hundreds of times a year. by that terrible logic there are hundreds of clubs every window get "a taste of medicine" or whatever you called it. You were talking nonsense trying to have a dig at another club. Stop digging and move on.
Agreed; if they can move on from Ozil, that'll free up Arsenal considerably to pursue more improvements to their squad.I'd imagine a lot hinges on a bit of behind the scenes brinkmanship with Ozil, wouldn't be surprised if he already has agreed a move back to Turkey with Basaksehir and they are just playing a waiting game to see how far Arsenal will move with what % of his wages they will continue to pay.
These quotes are just awkward responses to joirno’s asking him about the likes of Sancho.I see it as him putting the pressure on Woodward + Judge, kind of like a, "Don't ask me about how far transfers are going; it's up to the higher-ups."
Yeah, for sure, he has no reason to give them any responses to how the Sancho transfers go. Still, our past managers said something similar when it came to similar questions, which gets me thinking about the reason behind it.Watching tonight’s quotes on BT Sport they are more about just avoiding the topic. Hard to read too much into them I feel.
He had a wry smile when they mentioned Sancho, didn’t give too much away but reading his body language it seemed to me we are at least still trying on that front.Yeah, for sure, he has no reason to give them any responses to how the Sancho transfers go. How is that possible ? Has he ever shown anything ? I can only remember him getting some garbage time a year ago i thinkChong's on 30k a week.
Not so sure, if we sold them both we'd still have White, Webster, Burn and Clarke as well as Baluta and Veltman who can both comfortably play CB if needed. Sadly I can see Duffy and Dunk going if the right bids come in, which would be an end of an era for us. I can't count the number of last ditch tackles and blocks those two have made between them especially under Chris Hughton. Can only see you selling 1 of the 3 and dunk seems most likely.

Agreed. Think our sights are elsewhere on defenders and we won't move until we've lost at least Smalling and Rojo.

Not sure what’s difficult to understand. It’s called contraction when an apostrophe is used to combine 2 words
what’s= what is
