I'm not salty about it all. Chelsea are having a fantastic window no question.

But where are they going to finish in the league? 3rd at best. So basically you're going to do what we did last season. Pay fortunes to finish as best of the rest.

Pep n Klopp aren't be overtaken by Lampard, Ole, Jose or Arteta are they next season? It would take something truly extraordinary for Liverpool n City to not finish in top 2.

So we should just accept this fate and give up? Progressing every season until Pools and City's turn is over should be the target. If we let other clubs do that while we sit an watch it will take even longer until we will win anything again.

What can we as fans do to make the leadership notice? The Green & Gold campaign resulted in nothing, and some may want to say that our more recent protests resulted in Bruno coming in, but that's clutching at straws.

one to laugh at...spend £200 million then want us to loan them a keeper

Not even as a joke... We don't need to help Chelsea improve one of their few glaring weaknesses on the cheap.

Nothing.

In the current market, who is buying a 33rd year old, 3rd choice goalie who has less than 12 months on their contract?

He's probably got 2-3 good years left in him, 2nd choice, very recently a #1 Argentina keeper. I could see some random European club paying 2-3 million for him, which is better than loaning him to a rival, in my view anyway.

We paid £35 million for Danny Drinkwater.

We don't do anything on the cheap.

Straight swap, Drinkwater for Romero. You can say the deal was worth £35 mil, Drinkwater gets to go back to the club that made him and Chelsea get a goalkeeper.

Everyone's a winner.

3rd choice now was my point.

You have De Gea, Henderson and Romero. He's obviously 3rd choice out of that lot.

Both arsenal and yourselves are in a position where you have essentially 2 keepers ready to start. Its not romero we should be looking at imo its martinez and henderson.

Don't really see the point for Sarr, other than the probable pay rise. He isn't going to be a starter there (or Barcelona which he was also linked to). Should move somewhere he's likely to play regular football. He's already 'wasted' the last few months being a free agent, having no club to train with.

It’s been very well reported that Romero can’t play as a number one, as his body can’t manage 2/3 games a week.

Take Jones and it’s a deal.

Would rather give Henderson . They develop our player, he gets CL, we will know how will he perform under high pressure and Chelsea gets a decent option for an year

Yeah, we probably need to shift him if Henderson is actually OK to fight for his place (most reports seem to suggests he wants assurances of being #1 which he's definitely not going to get). Otherwise, Henderson is back out on loan and Sergio can be understudy to Dave before Ed extends his contract by 3 years to preserve his value.

But seriously, why would we help you lot out when you are our closest rivals and that is your weakest area?

With Thiago Silva coming in at his advanced age I hope Frank stops the 'Kante as a #8' experiment where he's running forward all the time. Kante playing deeper in a midfield 2 where he can screen the defense will be a huge help for Silva. Basically how Marqinhos was deployed in front of him at PSG.

Congratulations on third place next season you have got it sewn up. We will be back in Europa League until Woody and Judge pull their bloody fingers out pronto

Perfect Chelsea deal they park Sarr out on loan, if he develops they can sell or promote him to the first team. They got £13.5m for Palasic this summer I'm not sure if he even knows where Chelsea is and £30m odd last summer from members of their loan army.

We could do with him y'know. Bruno can't play every game.
Yes he is class!!! Great at pressing, great positionally and vision. Would be cover for Bruno and Pogba. Such a class player. Would be a huge upgrade to have him cover instead of Mata, Lingard and Pereira.

Signing Fecking David Brooks for 35-40 m while he looked average in 10 games in the EPL. Yeah, That sounds like us.
He’s played more than 10 games in the premier league.

Some background on why Conte might not continue with Inter:

Key points:
  • Inter aren't promising more signings after Hakimi
    • Based on their finances
  • Allegri's the favourite to replace Conte
    • Prefers Inter over PSG

It’s been very well reported that Romero can’t play as a number one, as his body can’t manage 2/3 games a week.
First time I've heard this... Care to elaborate? Any links?

Juventus are targeting Leandro Paredes to be their new midfield acquisition.

Other points:
  • Milik is waiting on Juventus & Napoli to complete their negotiations.
  • Juve are still keeping tabs on Dzeko.

Wasnt he really highly rated a year or so back, what has happened since then for him to be a free agent at 21 with not a clamouring of clubs after him, too much hype too soon?
He is still very highly rated and Barca are trying to sign him. Free agent as he wants to leave

Some more info on the Luis Suarez situation:

Luis Suarez doesn't want to miss out on the large salary that he earns. Ajax have offered him way less than what he gets from Barcelona.

Most posters have been very complementary in regards to Chelsea’s transfer activity, me including.

Persecution complex lads? I'm talking about the inevitable passive-aggressive comments that will come from Mourinho about it. Like he did with the restart subs rule and Fernandes penalties etc.

And @Nou_Camp99 Chelsea will not challenge for the title the coming season or perhaps not even the season after due to how big the gap is and how strong City and Liverpool are but moves need to be made now to be in place for when those sides decline. City are arguably already on that decline after losing the likes of Kompany and Silva and soon Aguero and even the likes of de Bruyne, Salah and Mane will all be the wrong side of 30 by the time likes of Pulisic, Chilwell, Werner, Havertz are coming into their peak.

It's about trying to get ahead of the cycle and be able to beat the next reincarnations of City and Liverpool sides.

Very jealous, not even so much of the player they are signing even though he is a fantastic talent and Chelsea will have some squad next year, but just in the way they don't f*** about and seem to get shit done efficiently, while we have the chuckle brothers handling our business.
This saga has been going on for weeks, it's not gone smoothly. Where does all this talk os going smoothly come from?

To be fair, Leverkusen's season only finished 14 days ago. And they gave a deadline date of 28th August for this t be wrapped up before they return to training, that is a deadline Chelsea took seriously and that resulted in the deal looking like being concluded before that.

In contrast, Dortmund's season finished two months ago and they also gave a self-imposed deadline for the same reasons, a deadline that United willingly ignored/chose to see as a bluff.

So weird. Even with Tomori going out on loan we'll have 4 CB's with Silva coming in. Where does this guy fit in I wonder?

he could be a great bit of business on a free. he’s got good physique left footed with a decent pass and he’ll probably do well out on loan. Surprised but not surprised we didn’t enquire there ourselves seeing as he was on a free in a position we clearly want a player in. Why not get 2 if it’s so important a thing to us. Chelsea are kicking ass this summer.

United fans! What about Szoboszlai at RBS? Austrian league player of the year. He looks really promising. I wonder if he has a release clause. He probably wouldn’t cost too much.

Stengs? He Can play all across the front. Left footed. Looks like a great athlete and a potentially important player. Obviously he’s really raw but he looks set for bigger things

I am so depressed at our lack of activity in the market Sigh.
Even if we leave Sancho aside, why can't we even address other positions of need.
The closer we get towards the end of the window, the higher the price of the players and the extortionate agent fees.

This is frustrating.
