Sanchez, Pogba ,Lukaku and DDG - all supposed to leave. You take them out and we are just a mid table side.

 we already are with them here. I think David will stay but can see the other three departures being realistic.

So long as we buy appropriate players in positions which give Solskjaer the ability to implement his system I have no problems. The question over everyone's head is what and if Solskjaer system is good enough to take us forward.

Yeah, but we didn't finish outside top 6 and missed it only by 6 points. Their form will only improve next year and on paper, we have a much better squad than everyone bar City, pool and Chelsea.

Naturally
We've learned nothing. No idea about this player but if City are only offering €55m, whats it going to take to convince him to come to United and play in EL? €70m, €80m, €90m to Sporting and 300k/week to the player?

I was thinking this until just recently. “Let’s only get players that are desperate to play for Utd”.....however we are gonna have to accept that for the near future at least, we are gonna have to use our one persuader that’s at least equal to the other clubs - money.

There’s no way, even with our history, that any players that would drastically improve us will come to us, all things being equal, over City or Liverpool, let alone Barca, Madrid, Bayern etc. It’s harsh, but true.

James could be a good value for money signing, but funny if he is our plan to Sancho

City didnt offer anything. It says claimed because the club were using the press reports to inflate the players price

City have leaked they were never interested in the player

Also Id wait to see what offer we make if we are even interested before losing it

Literally our priorities for the last 3 summers. Incredible how we’ve not managed to fix any of our problems. This is why we need to go for quality over quantity this summer. Instead of spending 40m on a centre back every summer just spend 100m and get the right guy even if it’s overpaying

Well that was leaked by Sporting to get more money. i highly doubt City was ever interested

Ah yes. Aside from :-

- Preparing a bid
- Monitoring the situation
- Moving closer to

The much fabled Close in

We are not even in the "48 hours" stage yet.

Hope Ornstein is right. Koulibaly as our left sided CB and Wan-Bissaka at right back would be great additions to our defence. Sancho would obviously be a mega exciting signing and a centre midfielder to replace Herrera makes sense.

We would have to flog Pogba to pay for that.

Even then it's a stretch.

Heard on Talksport about an hour ago they want £50 million. Would take £80m for Pogba plus Rakitic no problem.
They signed him for something like 30 million when he was in his prime, now he's 31 years old and slow and not as good as he was (better than what we have though) and they want 50 million for him
80 million + Rakitic for Pogba would be a fantastic deal, for Barca

Those 4 signings alone would change our team completely. Wouldn’t even mind if we only signed 4 players if it was only those 4.

We should first go all out for Wan-Bissaka, that's the most doable deal.

Woodward should be flogged if he backs out of Koulibaly deal because of price. We need a top class CB. If VvD cost that much, why can't the stingy cnut pay up for Koulibaly? He won't demand Sanchezesque wages atleast.

Sancho being English seems genuinely interested to join us owing to our history, and no doubt to also show City what they are missing. Pity, lack of UCL is the only factor stopping him.

Koulibaly has a 150m release clause. Van Dijk money will not be enough to buy him, we are looking at 100-120m here. That is insane

That's just an assumption. We won't know how much we are going to pay yet. I got a feeling it will be much lower than his release clause.

Exactly - Coutinho went for 135. I would take nothing less than 150m. And they can keep Rakitic.

Exactly, not to mention Pool bought Coutinho for peanuts, we paid 100 mill Euros 3 years back for Pogba,we should get 150 mill minimum for him
