True or not. I don't know why people still get shocked at wages for players leaving on free transfers. Any agent would surely point out the 'transfer fee saved' by the buying club. If we say Herrera is worth around £20m then that's £5m a year (4 year contract) you could barter for even before wages.

I actually feel sorry for our scouts. They seem to have done a number of interviews over the last 2-3 years saying we wanted player x etc but were overruled.

Fact is most players are the same. You don’t knock it, football is their job and its there to pay the bills.
He left because it was financially better to do so. Nothing wrong with that but people who have put him on a pedestal vs other players who are supposedly mecernaries will have a hard time reconciling it and will then blame the club instead of facing reality.

I think this CB, RB, CM, Winger is before any departures. Considering Herrera already left and we could lose Pogba, Lukaku and even DDG, there will be more signings if we end up selling them

How about Sanchez plus Darmian for Cancelo? I would say that's the better deal for us
