Welcome to Manchester.

Certainly looks likely from that article. If it was common knowledge that he was at Old Trafford to watch us play this season them I think more would be expecting this to be a done deal soon.

I'm leaning towards his signing over Wan Bissaka due to his age (gives Dalot time without blocking his path) and also brings much needed experience. Also helps that he seems to be a fan of United.

That's a big loss. Sure, a big profit too in one season. I wonder why he's so keen to jump ship after just one season?
In the next tweet they said that there will be a meeting with Llorente next week.
Its not the same but could be a valid solution.
Griezmann 140?+80 Lucas+70 Rodri ,you can make a very good team next season.
In Griezmann case I think is a very good deal for you.
I honestly don't know why. I would go for Eriksen before Pogba, every single day.
I am very optimistic but I think we are going to sign both

Not trolling here, genuine question - you guys are linked with all these big, star players but why would the likes of Koulibaly, Sancho, Pepe etc go to United who are in a bit of a crisis right now and are in the Europa League? Your manager isn't a draw, either. These are players who will basically have their pick of top CL clubs who can also offer big salaries.

Unless you pull an Alexis and pay ridiculous, silly wages do any of these links seem realistic?

The 3 players you mentioned there certainly won't have their pick of top CL clubs

Who's going to pay 75m+ for a 28 year old CB in Koulibaly but us?
Who's going to pay 100m+ for an inexperienced young Englishman Sancho but us?
Pepe I know nothing about but people in his thread are saying he ain't all that

I can see why we don't have a shot in hell getting someone like De Ligt but the players you mentioned are all very gettable for us

Meuneir with a point to prove at 25 m could be one of the best buy for us.

Yeah, roughly around 300m right there and I can see the sale of Lemar too. Really good chance to build something but will need to get the attacking transfers spot on. Simeone hasn't successfully integrated the last few with the exception of a solid half season for Morata who arrived low on confidence. Dybala or Icardi look possible. Probably Dybala fits with Morata well but feel they'd really need to add someone of high quality from wide too. Maybe beating others to the signature of Lozano could be worth a gamble?

I heard Simeone talking about the huge importance of the full-backs. I assume if not Telles, then Tagliafico at LB, with the sales out the door maybe it's worth upgrading Arias with Juanfran's days numbered too.

$$$$ I’d be very happy to see him at United
Yeah, if he's going to leave (which has been a strong rumor for a few months now) then I'd love it to be us but I think it's nailed on to be City. Shame. He's nailed on to be a World XI type player for years to come and would be urgently needed and exceptional for us.

Barcelona got to the semi final of the ucl, win their league easily and yet they look to be having a big rebuild, what's the bet that they will spend and sign more players than us who in a far greater need of a huge rebuild.

we should have about 400 million at least to spend on on players before also counting the money we will get from players sold, we had a net spend of 43 million this season, 137 million the season before and 124 million in Mourinho's first window, the Glazers are way too conservative with money for transfers.

I‘d love to see him at Bayern but can’t see them spending on Rodri when they still need a winger and (probably) an 8/10 and have already spent €115m on defenders.

When did that happen?!

It’ll be a sad day if De Ligt signs for ‘pool. He’s the leader we need to kick off this rebuild.

Is this a thing that might happen?

Would be an absolute disaster. De Ligt and Van Dijk has the potential to be an all time pairing.

Lemar could be moved to Griezmann central role. He's got the skillset for it.

I fear for this lad with this kind of news. WOn't sit well with many supporters. Already many are sick of the Martial FC camp. Maybe that i sone more reason he is very content with his growth, owners are backing him and he must be their favourite so why bother to work that hard.
Be careful the moderator 'Niall' shut my thread down mentioning this

If you read the article about him posted today, it says that PSG were angry with him because he flew to Manchester to watch us play then got stuck here because of the weather and missed team meetings. On top of that he was retweeting posts about us winning games, even those mentioning our wins over PSG.

At £25m he seems a straightforward deal to do and he's a good player with experience. It's the sort of deal Bayern or Juve would do and we'd be lamenting us not trying for these players.

A record setting pair of fullbacks. They are an anomaly.

There is a giant gap between our defence and theirs. We need to learn to walk before we can run with bombarding fullbacks.

One winger will not solve our width and delivery issues. We need a fullback to help.

Maybe, just maybe players aren't that interested in playing champions League football.
I've never really understood this fascination with players wanting to play Champions League only, the simple fact is most players will take the hit of they get paid decent wages.

Surely us not being in for a injury prone player with stupid wages, simply isn't true. Woody must be licking his lips.

I thought Delaney was banned in here, but no, there he is, on the official RedCafe twitter. Wonderful.

The Independent are usually quite reliable aren't they?

Like just a tier below The Guardian, BBC, etc. no?

He was somehow at United for 5 years. Since the main challenger to DDG left he hasn’t played for WBA, Preston and Burnley. I think it’s fair to say that he could have been our Hilario, if only we’d had the foresight to keep giving him new contracts every 3 months

don't want Bale because of age and wages , how about injury prone and never looked like he wanted to come here.
however we will take Varane

If Madrid want Pogba ,Utd should make sure Varane is part of the deal. Otherwise feck off.

I'd like him here very much. But I'm a bit worried about where his drop from the first team selection comes from, because it doesn't seem to be primarily about performance on the pitch. Seeing how Kovac has already demonstrated with James that he has no interest in making things work with certain characters, I think Sane at Bayern looks like a recipe for disappointment on all sides.
