Everyone waiting for Dybala, trust fridge cock to pop up with a useless tweet

Question for mods - if a certain poster on my ignore list posts a tweet, does it show up as a notification count on transfer tweets header on the navigation menu? Thanks

Edit - it does. Frustrating - wish we had a United only rule for this thread.

Why do so many people overlook McTominay?

Never rated him at all at first, but yes he is looking promising, but dont see him as an anchor man, maybe in a double pivot but even then Pogba isnt a double pivot player either, still think we need a proper defensive midfielder

Anyone actually think we will still sign Maguire and as for Fernandes well that one is definitely dead now Pogba is staying.

I did believe at one point we would still get him to play with Pogba but that isn't happening now.

It was reported that the Fernandes transfer was not dependent on Pogba leaving. I know that likely all the reports are nonsense but possibly it is Dybala or Fernandes and if Pogba was to leave SMS.

I think Pogba will stay and we will try for Dybala, and if not him, then Fernandes is waiting in the wings for the no. 10 position.

I also think eventually we will get Maguire, but maybe that’s just desperate optimism on my part.

He wouldn't know a clause if it bit him in the ass.

This actually made me laugh on the inside

I think we should give him a chance. Look at TAA at pool, last season be was given the role and was ridiculously good.

People wonder why young British talent fails to mature and I find it’s because people don’t trust them and instead sign a player who’s proven himself in that position...in another league.

It just irks me. Give the lad a chance, he’s got a pass on him and will be hungry to prove himself/learn.

The lack of outgoings is probably the worst part for me as well, hope that changes more than just Lukaku by the end of the season.

I think the last 3years or so there has been talk of 8-9 out and 5-6 in and its never happened or anywhere close and then fans say there is too much to do in one window, the fact is we havent done enough either way in any window for quite a few years now, let alone in my opinion 90% of the signings at the time havent been great ones for me, which has been the case.

One positive this summer, at least we have made a great signing in my opinion in Bissaka

If we could shift at least one of (Bailey, Rojo, Jones) and Darmian before the deadline I would take that although arguably all three shouldn't be near a squad with title aspirations. Hopefully Young and Mata will be moved on after next season.

100% agree on Bissaka, he was definitely the most crucial signing we needed to make this summer and if we can pull off Maguire too then our back four goes from shaky to reasonably solid. Any other signing is a bonus to me.

It’s a solid defence that could last us 5 years. I’d say Shaw all of a sudden looks like the weak link, simply because I don’t think he can get up and down the flank as much, which I think is pretty necessary in a full back. Hopefully I’m proved wrong in the new system

Just posted this in Dybala's thread, this article from an Italian newspaper offers some interesting details and subtleties:

Paulo Dybala doesn't want to leave Juve. But Juve have decided to sell him. And he is close to a deal with Manchester United, with or without Romelu Lukaku. That's why the Argentine must in any case listen to the Red Devils, before saying yes or no. In fact, one of his trusted men, Jorge Antun, arrived in England in the last few hours. He was usually taking care of his commercial interests but is now appointed by the Dybala family to start negotiations with United.

Dybala's position at the moment hasn't changed. On Thursday he will be in Turin and he will immediately want a direct meeting with Maurizio Sarri, despite the fact that the club has discarded him. The Premier League has never been his ambition (project/dream) and he would like to stay at Juve and eventually wait and see for something different to develop on the international market, whether it's PSG or one of the great clubs from Spain. In the meantime, Jorgen Antun has flown to London to listen to the United's technical and economic proposal. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a big fan of him, and United's offering a higher engagement than he currently receives at Juve. But for now all this may not be enough.

The fact that Antun is in conversation with United is further confirmation of how close the agreement is between the clubs. Whether it's a straight swap with Lukaku or a swap and cash (of about 15 million) or it could be a straight Dybala sale to Old Trafford without Lukaku moving the other way. Juve has decided to get rid of the player, Dybala's signature is missing. His response could affect the market in half of Italy.
