We are being quoted £90m because he has a long time left on his contract yes, but £90m because they dont want to sell him being a valuable player they have under contract and because of all the tv money now they dont have to sell him either.
Dont see what that has to do with me simply asking why we should be naming replacements between 24-28 and why they should be reasonably priced when he isnt. If we are coming up with an alternative to Maguire why should they be much cheaper if they are an alternative?
Romagnoli, Konate, Upamecano are all better defenders in my opinion and even Romagnoli would probably cost less than £90m. They are all also younger than Maguire and one of them is a captain and leader, something we desperately need.
