I'll never understand the way some United fans talk about Pogba. A generational talent, right under our noses, just a season off winning the World Cup and posting the best numbers in the history of Manchester United's midfield, while being villanised and surrounded by mediocre players like Lukaku and Mata and Lingard.

And people think they'd rather have two unknown players in his place who haven't won jackshit between themselves or ever played at the highest level of football.

It's not Pogba's ability mate, it's the fact that our £90m 'star player' clearly doesnt want to be here, clearly didn't want to here for the remaining part of last season and if we keep him against his wishes we're wasting another season - because we dont have ANYONE else in midfield capable of creativity. So it's either cash in and bring in some creativity or put up with a non-existent midfield this season yet again.

Zaha is so underrated on here. That would be a sensational signing for Everton imo.

Zaha and Richarlison. Woof!!

How are we supposed to take our 25% (or how much is it?) cut of Zaha sale price if it's a part exchange including players? We can't receive a quarter of a player

You got a source for this? Not saying it's not true just be interested in reading.
Don't know the reliability of these but it's come from a few different places including these two which I found from a quick Google search. If you look in the Pepe thread I think a few people have linked such articles and various tweets etc...

Everton will be super annoying and tricky to play against if they got Zaha. He and Richarlison would make them very dangerous.

I just don't get why Zaha would want to swap Palace for Everton. Barely a step up for a player with one big move left in his career. Should wait until one of the big boys come in for him next summer. Think both Chelsea and Spurs would be interested.

I would imagine our cut would be 25% of the £55 million if the part ex goes through. So about 13 million which wouldn't be bad business

Their biggest player will be Moise Kean. The guy is a ridiculous player. Will score tons of goals in the right team. Even at Everton he'll get 20+.

It'll be a lot easier to break them down without Gueye though so there's always that, defensively sound teams should be fine against them.

I'd say kilos, thousands of kilos.

No BS the guy looks the part, so strong for such a young boy.

Maybe in 2/3 seasons he will but he won't next year.

I reckon that’ll be accepted assuming the two players have agreed to move to Palace. Tosun is a decent striker. I would guess Tosun is worth about £15-20m and McCarthy is worth about £10m, so the overall deal is worth circa £80m. A very good offer.

Both players are 28 so I would imagine Palace will only want to give 3-4 year contracts, though.

How do we get 20% if swaps are involved? I guess a value has to be attached to the swap players.

You see a ridiculous player, I see a player that's more impressive physically than he is technically. He also seems to think he's more skillful than he actually is too. Not sure I'd be so confident of him getting that many goals at this stage of his career.

Our business, penny pinching mentality will mean we won’t pay up for Maguire and will price Inter out of getting Lukaku as we won’t accept anything below what we paid for that lump. Who cares about the benefit of the team.

So you'd rather we overpay for every signing and sell our players on the cheap. What could possibly go wrong with such a strategy?

I don't get why Juve would want Lukaku?

Pogba is the best midfielder in the world. Any combinations in our midfield that don't include him will be a downgrade because we still have the same average squad as last season and none of the rumoured replacements are world class. SMS and Fernandes look like good players but not world class in this time.

Hahahahaha
Sorry I just fell off my chair pal laughing. He's not even the best midfielder in Manchester.

I guess the player swap approach is a good loophole which Palace can exploit to lower the fee they owe us?

Looking more and more likely that there’s something in a possible Dybala/Lukaku swap.

I would rather we know when to stick to our valuation no matter what and when it's better to get the deal done for slightly less. Lukaku is clearly in the latter category as he just doesn't fit into our team and not many teams are interested in him. If the reports are true that Inter offered €70m + bonuses, I think it's a good offer for Lukaku, it's hardly their problem we massively overpaid for him in the first place. Also it's funny seeing so many people still hurt about Perisic  He was their key player and if I remember correctly, they asked €50m which is surely not an outrageous amount of money considering he was important for them. I fear we will fail to sell him just like we did with Darmian and many others because we simply have no idea how to do it.
