That's what Ole is trying to do! But everytime we are linked with a player that's not up to a fans liking, he gets slated
Ole has a clear strategy and has eluded to in his press conferences that if he doesn't get the players he wants he isn't going to pick playes 'just to fill a role' he wants specific players.
I don’t care personally about big names. We should have learned our lesson by now. I can’t stress enough however that we desperately need a new midfielder and centre back this window. Arguably a new RW too.

A midfielder and a centre-half and I could be excited for the new season. Right now I'm disgusted at what little activity is being done. No outgoings is a complete farce.

That's what I meant re: Maguire. We don't want to pay their figure and are negotiating around it when it's clear that the only offer that will be accepted is the world record. That's if we are even still in for Maguire.
I hear ya. We just don't seem to want to pay up for any of these last targets. I don't get it. We didn't have a good season.

That's a potential great signing for Arsenal. I would've liked him at United but i'm hopeful we'll nab someone like Badiashile ih the near future.

I’d absolutely love us to get Badiashile. He has so many things we need in a CB.

He has the potential to be a physically imposing CB that can play football and pass to a good level. He also has recovery pace in abundance. We failed to sign him on our first two attempts so let's hope it's 3rd time lucky.

16 first team games for St Etienne and I’ve seen so many people call him great. That’s a very small sample of games in a weak league.

16 first team games at 18 years old (born in 2001). How many players his age can boast that? Let alone CBs.

Dont take the bait United fans. This is so obvious click generation bait.
I took the bait.

Woodward has over spent and over waged the players for years so now his job is to squeeze out deals. Doesn't work that way imo. If the board hired someone new with a fresh reputation that could have worked. What's silly is that this 10 million is less than the annual wages of people like Mata, Rojo, Jones, Darmian, Matic combined. Was the 10 million worth not having him settled by now? Also if there was any season to deal Matic it was now unless he comes back to form of course.

All truth aside, I don't think it will take Harry long to settle in. Tough guy with the right mentality.
I don't get it either and I think unless we get a few more signings in, I think we will struggle to achieve top 4.
We'll see. Really depends on what the staff gets out of our players but it's always safe to assume that there's always a tipping point for a club and not making signings and selling players is regretted more than doing so.

Disgusted? Have a word with yourself mate and try not to be so melodramatic.

If Gomes coming through, Greenwood staking a claim for a squad place at least, the fact that every goal on tour has been assisted or scored by a youth player and we have multiple academy products on the verge of breaking through, along with Arsenal and Chelsea making no waves in the market isn't enough for you to be excited for the new season then that's on you.

Have you watched any pre season? Plenty to be excited about, in my opinion.

Why? You honestly think that without a few more signings we will struggle for 4th place? You think that before the window, we were genuinely 5 signings behind a Chelsea team that just lost Hazard? Fourth is a position we narrowly missed out on despite having one of the worst seasons in the Premier league that we've had. We've got exciting attacking talent coming through, one of the best keepers in the world looking to sign up on a long term deal, have signed an absolute machine at right back and look pretty likely to also upgrade our central defensive partnership.

Some of our so called fans are a joke. Why are you lot so fecking miserable? Honestly, it's depressing. Arsenal have signed no one of note, their captain has gone on strike and they clearly have barely any money to really make any proper moves. Chelsea have a manager with a year of experience in the championship and a transfer ban, after losing their best player.

We have such a large chunk of shite fans, we really do. What would you be saying if we were in Arsenal or Chelsea's position? They, along with Spurs, are our biggest threats for top 4 and I don't see how you can say that we're still 3 signings away from even challenging them for top 4.

It gives some good perspective. Villa close to 100 million in transfers just to stay up. You must think we should plan to spend significantly more to win the league

Of course, I actually think it's mad that Villa have spent that and I know we need to spend to compete for title but don't really see the need to have posts about lower league teams or other clubs in the transfer tweets drop down menu, I'd rather there be two sections, one for United related stuff and one for others.

I think the main reason is desperately need a new defender due to injury records of Jones and Rojo, which I think is going to be our major struggling point.I think with Matic in the team we are really going to struggle, so I would ideally have liked a replacement this summer but hope he goes when his contract expires. When Pogba is injured or not on form we are going to struggle for creativity. I think we should have signed a new right winger but I think the club are going to go for Sancho next year which will result on us getting into the Champions League. Chelsea's tranfer ban could work in their favour as they have so many players out on loan that they will have to bring a few back and that could have a positive impact on the team

Agree about the youngsters but it’s amazing how people seem to forget the end of last season. It was so unacceptable it was absolutely disgusting. We’ve a squad piled high with dogshit and aren’t shifting any.

He has the 'potential' to be a world class player from what he's shown in the St Ettiene first team and was rated as a big talent before he broke through. Still just 18 but people who have watched him from his youth days consider him a big talent with the potential to be a great CB in the future.

Not everyone cares about 4th place, some people want Man Utd to challenge for trophies...
Of course we want to challenge and we might surprise some people, but CL football could ensure we can sign even better players, not necessarily galatico signings, but the very best young players. Some have been put off because we have not got CL football and we need to prove we are not on a big slide.

Arsenal & Spurs having a better transfer window than us potentially, despite having a smaller budget. Wow.
