Actually last summer it was Fred (£47m) and Dalot (£19m) for a total of £66m. This summer it's AWB (£45m) and James (£15m) for a total of £60m. Even less! Looks like the Glazers can afford a £6m house now!
People need to stop mentioning building the team and it taking time, if Solskjaer finishes outside the top 4 he will definitely be sacked. Confirmation of that is a few weeks ago he mentioned the club have definitive targets which we need to achieve this season. Ole is also a novice manager at competitive level so if we have a bad window it will reflect on the foundations of opportunities he has at success.
5th or 6th this year. The top 3 are miles ahead of us. We will compete with Arsenal and Chelsea again, and then it will be the same battle of the s*itest same as last year. Everyone agreed and acknowledged we were woefully short on quality. Our answer is to sign a RB who will improve the first team. It's an absolute joke and an insult to the fans. If Ole's answer is to make our players run more then we are in for a very harsh lessonYou honestly don't think we are? Thats interesting
We'll probably sell Lukaku, buy Maguire and call it a day. Guess the ESPN reports of us being short on transfer funds might have been true.
Exactly how I've been thinking. I've used hope/hoping in here in the last few weeks mote than I have in my entire life.Expected/preparing/thinking is there no end to this.
Can you link the article please
I think we've a good team, with a smart manager and some excellent youth players coming through. We do, admittedly, have a horrible CEO who can't seem to get the job done when it comes to transfers. But I don't think we need a huge amount of players. A few outs and a couple more. Whether that gets done or not is another issue. I don't think it's a "Massive mess" just not ideal. Just because I don't think it's a massive mess, doesn't mean I'm wearing rose tinted glasses like @dove says. I just don't think we're THAT bad.You honestly don't think we are? Thats interesting
Just my opinion mate had no idea posts had to be backed by journos in this forum.
Finally a piece of good news - Bailly should be long gone and perhaps he can command a decent fee too (25-30m?)
Rojo is certainly even worse but nobody wants him
Just thinking that. And we now have gone full circle in the transfer linking roundabout.
It gives some good perspective. Villa close to 100 million in transfers just to stay up. You must think we should plan to spend significantly more to win the leagueThe amount of times I pop on here to look at transfer tweets, expecting them to be linked to United, only to find news of clubs like Gillingham, honestly who cares?
Now the next logical move from our side is to offer a new contract.Got injured .. Smart move.
