Probably unlikely but if you signed Pepe, Maguire and Fernandes would that be seen as a successful window?
It'd be exactly the sort of window we need to help close the gap but I just don't think our ownership has that much ambition.

Definitely IMO.

Those transfers would aim to address the core weaknesses in our squad, although we would probably need 1 more CM, however that can wait for the next window.

There really is a lot of fecking children on this site. Throwing your toys out of the pram because you don't like some tweets
Innit just? As if having to scroll past something you don't like is some massive effort!

I’m not really convinced about Pepe and Fernandes, but AWB and Maguire alone would be a successful window already for me. I think Pepe and Fernandes might struggle in PL, and I think we need a dynamic midfielder like Ndidi badly. Ndombele and Lo Celso would’ve been great additions.

Liverpool and City were likely to have quiet transfer window off the back of their successful campaigns.Their squads dont need huge adjustments, and any adjustments they will change are likely to be based on promoting within.

Tottenham seem to be going all out in enhancing their credentials, with they themselves coming back off a decent campaign and the positivity surrounding the club after the new stadium unveiling. They desperately want to keep the positivity going, understandably.

Chelsea,banned.
Arsenal restricted due to ownership.
Us, still a certain amount of uncertainty though the owners are loosening the purse strings alittle more this summer after last years kerfuffle.

I think that's the key. There's talk of even having to use the Lukaku deal to fund Maguire deal. Why? We didn't spend anything last year and should easily be able to spend 200m a year. Must be that the owners don't care about getting close to Liverpool and City. I'd even say our squad isn't that much better if we sell Lukaku and buy Maguire. We need a new rw and two new cm players. Not enough time now.

To be honest I think its more that people come into this thread for a quick check of something exciting some even have it on alert to catch stuff to do with united. So it can be frustrating when you don't have much time in the day to check and you see alot of activity only to find its absolutely nothing to do with us or any team relevant to us.
Yh unbelievable that united fans on a united website do not want their transfer aggregator page filled with tweets from teams/players that are neither competition and whose only relevance ( on this page) is that they re English. Admins are obviously up for a laugh as were most on here but it got very old, very quick and the joke has run it s course

Exactly. I've hit ignore on these ones now. And that's helped a lot. But I can understand why so many people are annoyed when nothing is being done about actual spam.

I call bulls on this one, Toon stated a price he's simply not worth at this moment in time. Click bait....
I think we ll comfortably go above 30 for Longstaff. He is a much better player ( imo) than James and would cost twice as much.

Anything below 40 is good value. Longstaff s a real talent imo, would have him above Rice and the likes.

It would be a good. I'm not so much keen on calling the window successful or not because you never know with transfers. It's about supporting the manager to play the way he wants.

We already know Ole wanted squad turnover so five signings would be very much par. Getting rid of Lukaku, Darmian and maybe Rojo then adding Longstaff, a striker .... That would be ideal. And also my expectation. We're not exactly some poor club. We're Manchester United and anything shy of that kind of window to me, reflects on the incapacity of the executive team.

Agreed. I'd say he's ready for a AWB style breakout season. We'd do well to get him for less than 50.

Agreed, he looks quality. Really hope this one gets done.

Ed Woodward will not join Manchester United’s pre-season tour. It is understood Woodward believes that staying in the UK is important to conduct transfer business ahead of the new season. - @SkySportsPL

Go on Ed!

Is BoJo a Utd fan? Might be the key to staying in the EU. Tell him no deal means no Bruno.

EDIT: I thought that said "staying in the EU" :nervous:

And where are all the execs at all the other clubs at the moment? Why is this even a ‘story’? And why is there always a fixation with how we operate in the market? It’s not like we have done no business. It’s not as if everyone around us has done loads. These types of stories are just there to incite, and are totally unnecessary. The incitement seems to work too, by the looks of our online fan demographic anyway.

Zidane has been behaving like an utter cnut lately. Is he under serious pressure or what?

Prior to the Mou sacking, I didn't mind if we'd go for Zidane to take charge... but after the ridiculous getup he wore to his press reveal at Madrid and his quotes recently, I'm very curious to see how he fares without Ronaldo in his team.
Given his recent quotes maybe he should brush-up on his spanish given he is managing a spanish team, maybe he is one of those frenchies that think "gato" means cake.
