Fridge Chutney has to be one of the most annoying posters of recent years. I understand some revel in winding up transfer “muppets”, but how about just regular United fans who use this thread as a content aggregator for transfer news. I get all the good transfer news from the top leagues, with a special emphasis on United related news.
Now it’s just getting spammed with pointless lower league nonsense. I honestly can’t believe the mods have let this go on so long. Yes, it’s technically transfer related tweets, but they are essentially subverting the entire purpose and appeal of this thread for the regular members. And all for what? A wind up? Seems unnecessarily immature.
Just create a separate thread for lower league and obscure transfer news. There’s just been so much tit for tat thread creating and posting in response to this; that you start to wonder if anyone actually cares about the quality of content anymore.

16 days until our window closes and it still seems no signing is actually imminent depsite the usual stories of deals being close. What a hugely underwhelming window thus far even with the big plus of having an actual right back signed after all these years of needing one. Can't see us making top four next season even if we manage to get Maguire over the line. The euphoria of youth will die down once none of them are getting a sniff in the first team and Ole is relying on the usual suspects to get us up the league. Would loved to be proved wrong of course with this being similar to my posts last summer but as with back then I'm not holding my breath.
Why are people so sure that we will get Tierney next year? Is there something I don't know? I've seen multiple posters say the same thing.
Because it's likely we'll buy another LB next year and Tierney fits our profile. So if he stays at Celtic it's likely we could be in for him next summer.
Don't think you have missed anthing. Not sure why people are convinced we will get Tierney next year, can't speak for everyone else just giving my opinion. I am not convinced we will sign him, I am hoping. One thing which makes me think he might choose us next year is that I read he really wanted to move to Arsenal which seems as if it may not happen due to Arsenal offering derogatory offers and as we are are a bigger draw than Arsenal I think that may work in out favour, if we choose to try to sign him next year.

Totally agree with all your post. This seems like the movie like Groundhog Day, same sh!te different year. Think Woody should take the advice of people who know a bit about football: the last 2 managers. Although he himself seems to know very little but I would think he would learnt a bit these last few years but to me that doesn't seem to be the case. Maybe he has such a high opinion of his own football knowledge that he feels we may not need another centre-back?

It’s a transfers tweets thread, it’s quite easy to scroll past it or even put him on ignore for the duration of the transfer window if you are that bothered.
The moaning is just as bad if not worse.
