Would we take Icardi for him? He’s full of drama but a cracking player imo.

No we wouldn't. There's enough toxicity surrounding the club as it is, no reason to deliberately add more drama to the dressing room.

How much do you know about Fernandes?

As much as I knew about Lukaku and Fred and Perisic, I think I was proven right about all of them, but I am not saying I wont be wrong either, but I give my opinion on what I have seen, he looks mid table PL level to me, not enough in his all round game for what I want to see at United, if he comes and is amazing then fire away at me, but I will always give my view beforehand as it's easy to hitch your opinion to a wagon once it's rolling in either direction.

Maybe 10 games, so not a lot but enough to see that Maguire isn’t as good as he was last season. They had a manager change in fairness so that has to be considered also.

In basic terms, Leicester have conceded 48 goals this season and Maguire is their main man. United have conceded 52 and our defence is described as absolutely horrible and requires an overhaul.

I don’t really buy into that ‘main man’ bit. The defence, more than any other area of the pitch, is a unit. If you’re going by your theory of the number of goals a team concedes and being the ‘main man’ then no club on the planet would have gone anywhere near VVD because his team, Southampton, conceded for fun. 18 months later he’s the best defender in the world - and Maguire is 3 years younger than him.

In the games I’ve seen I definitely haven’t seen an obvious error from him, he’s looked very assured and seems a bit Terry like in that everything going into the box seems to be intercepted by him.

Nar, Madrid and Zidane want him badly, but they simply don't have the money to buy him, hence this nonsense.

It's been obvious all along that Madrid simple cannot afford Pogba.

Balague has been saying all along that Madrid won't buy him. Not a priority despite the shite in the Spanish press and even if he was they can't afford him, especially given the other areas of the team they need to replace and the cheaper alternatives out there. If we can get his head right and some quality and energy around him in the team keeping him will be our best piece of business this summer.

You haven't watched him enough.

They haven't had silly money for a while, hence missing out on Mbappe. They haven't got that kind of money to splash.
We missed out on Mbappé because he wanted €25m a year in wages and a guaranteed spot in the starting XI and Florentino wasn't convinced about selling his precious Bale. Monaco confirmed they had accepted our offer of €180m for him

The issue with Pogba is Florentino Perez really really really doesn't want to even be in the same room with Mino Raiola

Two new tweets in last one and half page.

Less discussion more tweets.

Well that was a massive feck up wasn't it. We'd have spunked a fortune at Bale two years ago.

Madrid really missed the boat last summer with regards to not putting Bale up for sale.It was the perfect time with Bale coming off the back of his winning CL performance and they blew it.

Mbappe turned Madrid for PSG now. The idea Madrid pay 180m and not guarantee him a starting spot or Mbappe thinking he needed one is hilarious PR

If De Ligt ends up at Liverpool they literally have the strongest backline in the world.

Please end up at Barca.. :nervous:

3 questions on Icardi.
1. Does he have a first touch?
2. Can he hold on to a ball?
3. Does he have a good work rate and off the ball movement?

Must we expect this to be complete bollocks because it is negative for us....isn't that the the way this thread goes..?

No, if it’s negative to United it’s guaranteed to happen. It’s if it’s positive news that it must be complete BS.

It would be a huge move for Liverpool, a replacement for Matip and a top class partner for VVD. They'd be set for years with that back 4.

I'm not sure Liverpool has the pull to get De Ligt. Their fortunes might have changed a bit in the past 2 years, but I dont think footballers consider Lpool more attractive than us right now. If they can sustain their recent success for 2-3 years then maybe they'll overtake us but rn they are not a "dream move" like Barca is and what we lack in trophies we make up in cash.

Liverpool are arguably the best team in Europe, have a high profile manager, play exciting football and have positive momentum in terms of publicity behind them. And its been like that for at least a couple seasons. I’d be hard pressed to think they don’t have the pull to get De Ligt or that they are not more attractive than us right now, regardless of money.

Now now... Far from the best team in Europe. Probably the best manager though which makes all the difference.

They have had 2 good seasons. That doesnt make you a top team. To cement your position in the very best you need at least 5+ years at the top. City are probably now considered one of the best in Europe. Liverpool, not yet. For all we know Klopp might implode like he did at BVB or the Spanish clubs poach their top talents. Not to mention they have 0 trophies. Anyway, this is derailing the thread a bit, so I wont discuss this topic further.

Surely not. Same age as Herrera, would demand similar wages and is not even better than him. That would be one of the stupidest buys ever so probably true.
Yes, I don't believe this at all. Under Jose maybe we might go for him but not under Ole.
