So I guess we are going full Portuguese this summer. Felix, Bruno, Cancelo, Ruben Dias all linked

You have to laugh at how fecking bad our club is.

We’re paying somebody good money to judge the best young defender in world football and his concern was the player gaining weight....wtf.
Im more inclined to laugh at how fecking stupid anyone who believes that bollocks is.

Apparently there was not a single Portuguese top flight game we did not have a scout at this season under Mourinho. If there is any gem in that league we should be on top of it. Jose had contacts in Portugal who could also give a better background on the players, which probably led us to signing both Dalot and Lindelof who seem well driven and focused. I think these two were good signings and would be happy with more.

I agree. The story originated with the same "journalist" who claimed Mourinho would be sacked soon after that Newcastle game at Old Trafford, which turned out to be a complete lie. David McDonnell, I think his name is.
He always used to be pretty good. Funny thing is I think if we had lost that Newcastle game Jose would have gone, but ended up dodging a bullet.

It probably is bollocks knowing the English media but the story was carried by most of the outlets. Strange thing to make up either way, almost too crazy for there not to be something in it.

Which outlets apart from Mirror?

Was he though? I can't be bothered looking through his articles, but from memory he's been wrong most of the time. Hell, the rationale in believing his article back in October was that he couldn't possibly be wrong (he was) with such a strong statement as no one would ever believe him again. But here we are, few months later and people just assume that he's right for no reason in particular.

I don't believe the latest stuff, because it really does seem a stupid thing to do. We aren't that stupid. Are we?

ESPN. Can't wait for Express, Daily Star and The Sun to get on board. You just know Custis is going to write an article and everyone and their dog is going to believe him, because he broke the news about the Neymar to United transfer that never happened.

If he's fundamental to the team Ole wants to build I dread to think what he's planning.

He wants a goalscoring midfielder. Every manager from Moyes onwards wanted one. Moyes bought Mata, van gaal tried Memphis, Mata, Rooney, januzaj in that role, Mourinho bought mkhitaryan and now ole wants Fernandes.

Which is why we were in for Pereira, all the Lisbon lads and the Wolves signings.

Give the Jose schtick a rest will ya.

I wonder what the feck is our PR or media communication is even doing. You've seen examples of journalists apologizing in the last two days for putting out false news about City whereas it's an open season for us.
Yes, been wondering about that myself. Real Madrid puts official statement "not interested in player", so did Bayern last season, City calls press and orders them to delete stories, or else.. and United people are probably jumping up and down out of happiness every time someone writes anything, good or bad about us, and claping hands while screaming: "write more, write more".
Hate that.
One simple tweet from club would stop lots of "journalists" to write crap, or at least make them think twice before they do.

Probably looking for a Lingard and Mata upgrade with more end product, decent passers and good finisher and specialist kick, he'll be our link between midfield and attack as false 9 off RW.

Some of you need to realise Ole will not build a technical tiki taka side with 70% ball possession and playing the ball out of our own 6 yard box type of style. He said it himself that he is looking for hard work, pace and direct football. Sure players need to be comfortable on the ball, but we wont compete with the likes of City in possession and combination play.

A number 10? If so, I assume it would be a replacement for Pogba, as I can't imagine Ole will want a goalscoring centre midfielder because he's spoken about the two at the base of midfield giving the front four freedom to attack.
