The worrying thing is, Pogba is definitely a Di Maria-level a-hole and would have no compunction about skipping out on the tour if he believes it will get him his move to Madrid. I wish he were more like Lukaku, who manages to make his feelings known about wanting to leave without being a thoroughly unlikable dick about it.

If Pogba refuses to go on tour we are well and truly fecked, either we keep someone who may not play for us or we get a terrible fee/castoffs that other top clubs probably want to sell anyway

So once one goes through, we'll be have been outspent by Leicester City this summer. Shows everything that is currently wrong with the league and United.

Let's completely ignore the transfer window doesn't close for another month eh?

He has no leverage. He's not going to go on strike in a Euro year. Someone needs to pay up and he can feck off.

Only player really worth being included in the Pogba deal Ceballos, I think I would be contemplating not supporting this club for the time being if Woodward stupidly takes Bale and his wages on permanently.

Despite the hot takes and fan fictions that will emerge on redcafe.net, selling Pogba will be a major loss to this team/club.

We're in a powerful position with Pogba given he still has 3 years left remaining on his contract

I'd personally want him to go, but if he remains then we still have a great player in our squad.

Win win situation IMO

Doesn't help that several of the high quality midfielders on the market this summer have already moved. And of course our best player jumping ship combined with no CL is hardly gonna attract players.

Selling a sulking and unhappy Pogba is no loss. He is one of those players that re atrocious when his head is not in it. Making him stay against his will has the potential to ruin our season, especially if he starts game in a sulking mood.

It's only a win win situation if Pogba doesn't go into a major sulk.

We know we can sell Pogba for practically the same amount next year - so let's spend money like we have sold Pogba, and keep him. And if he still wants to go in 12 months..sell him.

Easy to deal with, get 2 weeks wages off, an put him in reserve team until January. And every month until January one week wage off. Give spoiled little Diva his own medicine. We are Manchester fecking United, not Pogba fecking United. Show him and everybody else who is the boss.
If he stays he will play and behave even worst then before, do no real loss if he ends in reserve team, but it will make other primadonnas to scratch their heads.
Hope...

Well I suggest his agent gets a touch more determined about securing us an appropriate fee, otherwise we have an opportunity to assert ourselves and perhaps re-balance some of the mercenary posturing that’s been allowed (and to be fair enabled) in recent years. Shall we start the bidding at £150m please...?

Do we?

He has 3 years left. He wont get cheaper in 12 months.

It's also about the buyers. A lot can happen internally with clubs in 12 months and new players can also come on the horizon. He will also become another year older.

Right now Real and Juve are splashing the cash. I'm not sure how their model is for future seasons but they may evaluate differently in the next window.

Mark Ogden: Nemanja Matic is seeking talks with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over his Manchester United future after being made aware of interest from Inter Milan and AC Milan, sources have told ESPN FC.
Sources have told ESPN FC that Inter, who are also pursuing United forward Romelu Lukaku, have indicated a willingness to offer £10 million plus Belgium midfielder Radja Nainggolan for Matic

Snap their hand off

I am happy, delighted in fact we have signed Bissaka.....but Bissaka, James and 1 or 2 more, unless he knows something and its a couple of huge signings, that is absolutely nowhere near enough

£80m + Isco.

That will do for me. Isco is 27 and has plenty to offer us if we are going to change our style. Put the £80m towards Maguire (as that is probably our last hope for a CB now) and probably Longstaff.

James
AWB
Maguire
Isco
Longstaff

Not the perfect summer but not too bad overall. People thinking we were going to sign 5/6 world class players and fix all our issues this summer were living in cloud cuckoo land.

For Pogba? Bad bad deal.

Edit: Seen the tweet, looks like Mino's turning those gears.

God I hope we avoid dealing with that manslug from now on.

Yes as good as he is, Im quite happy we dont seem in the race for DeLigt, unless he has somebody ROnaldoesque on his books I woul dhope we steer clear of the parasite Riola.

Not that we should bow down to pressure, but taking him on the tour, is that a mental game? Like Lukaku I just want to see the back of Pogba and the circus to be honest....but appreciate they are our two most valuable players. £170m+ and I would be happy, we should be looking for £200m really but in all honesty I genuinely think in footballing terms they are not actually worth over £145m combined.

Happy for Greenwood to take place of Lukaku....but Pogba as inconsistent and average as he has been most of the time definately needs replacing, feel we really missed a trick with NDOmbele

Pogba left United ages ago, lets be honest. Its his dream to finish second to Barcelona, repeatedly for the rest of his career.

Oh,god .Its like people haven't watched Isco and Nainggolan for 2 years.
They haven't been great and for that reason their clubs are happy enough for them to leave.

I'd fecking love it if we got Isco.

I think Isco is an excellent player....but square pegs into round holes. We should have been all in for NDOmbele and got Pogba straight out the door end of season even if it was £100m odd, great replacement, money left over, problem out the door.

I fear Pogba and Lukaku are gonna drag on this summer

That could happen and we either end up selling them too late to replace, or are left with two players who do not give a toss or we could get rid them quickly and replace them with class players. Are Unite capable of doing this right? Of course if they sell too late, they will promise Ole players in January with the money. Dream on Ole.
