Christ, people do love a meltdown over some standardly pointless comments.

Feck off Woodward Feck off Glazers. Good in the market so far??? We have signed one first team player. One!!!!! We needed minimum of 5.

I believe OGS said before the window started he expected 3 or 4 signings. James and AWB is good business. So far so good. Doesn't mean it will be good enough if it stays like this though.

Be honest. Have you even heard of James before we signed him? I am Welsh and I hadnt. Might be a good player in the future, but we need players now. We needed at least 4 first team players to come in. RB, CB, CM, RW, ST

Good in the market so far... Lord have mercy.

What is he even supposed to say. We are actively in negotiations and still working on multiple deals.

Ofcourse he has to sound content in interviews. Why antagonize bosses and also make it tough for transfers to go through.

So what do you think he should have said ? I am really unhappy, the players we have signed are crap and I fully expected to have 3 more players in place by now.

Yes, screw being a yes man to the scummy board, come out and talk of his frustration so that becomes more and more obvious how much of a ride the owners are taking the fans for, as much as I disliked how many things about Mourinho's management I respect him for making it known that the club were holding back on transfers.

I don't think we can count Dan James as a first team signing. He's the kind of signing City and Chelsea make and then send to their feeder clubs on loan. We need at least 4 first team players to be signed now. And I'm confident that we can get the players we need to challenge for the title.

Why don't you go ahead and tell us why signing James is "good business". He put up very average stats in the Championship and has played a grand total of zero games in the Premier League. As has just been pointed out by another poster, 99% of the people in this forum had never even heard of him unless maybe you live in Wales. There are people here penciling him in as our starting RW - it's fecking lunacy. Ole must be living on another planet if he's pleased with our window so far. And even more worrying than the lack of first team signings is the fact that we still have Darmien, Rojo, Sanchez, the Chuckle Brothers and have resigned Mata and Perreira. It's a Shit Show.

No I hadn't but that doesn't mean he can't or won't be a good player for us. And just because that's what we need doesn't mean it's realistic when each of them costs 50+ million and the ones that don't prefer other teams (i.e. Rabiot). I've said all along we're too broken to be fixed in one window and the club have never expressed the intention of signing more than 4 players. That was the press.

So now Mourinho was good to create a toxic mood in the club? When has that ever delivered a positive on the pitch?

What are you disagreeing with again? You seem to say the same point as the quote you posted.

And where is Mourinho now ? For all we know, we might be close to signing a couple of players. Has it occured to you that OGS might know more than he is willing to tell ?

What an awful decision. They have Yari Verschaeren playing on his position, who I consider the biggest talent since De Bruyne/Hazard in Belgium. I hope Kompany is not that stupid, to play Nasri in stead of him. He'll hopefully start Nasri on the right and Verschaeren on the left.

Please let this be true. I know a great straight swap we could do. :)

Probably too good to be true but if it is at least they have a few other players worth doing a swap deal with even if they wont budge on Koulibaly.

I see the odds of a straight swap at 0% given their value of Koulibaly. At least 50-75 million pounds plus Lukaku for him would be my guess, with a far more likely option being another low ball offer like Inter’s with no Koulibaly involved, unless he is actively asking to leave

Hope so. Would prefer Koulibaly to Maguire every day of the week.

Worries me that he's not that good in the air though. Paired with Lindelof, with De Gea behind them? We'd be asking for it.

In fact I'm sure I saw some stats around here pointing out that he was actually worse than Lindelof in the air!

Would have to pair him with Smalling if he does come in I'd say.
