This is his last contract. It was bigger paycheck plus titles against 5th or 6th position in PL. Can anybody blame him?
No. He isn't a fool and like Pogba and Lukaku can maybe see where we might be heading. It is his profession and he has to think about his career and family first.

Or maybe he just wanted to win something decent? If Juve, Barca, Real or Bayern were not in for him, PSG is the place if you want a few guaranteed league titles. We are not winning anything of note in the next 5 years, he was probably tired playing in a crap team and would have most likely chosen PSG even if we matched the offer.

Financial security for his family and a good length contract. Only he and the club know how his contract was dealt with. God I am angry. Especially watching some of the smug so-and-so's that have come back to training at our club.
This is what i have a problem with. Financial security? He was a millionaire at United for the love of god. Some people are making him out to be some sort of martyr that gave his all but was shot in the back or something. The fans loved him, the club wanted him to stay. He chose the League 1 title, for more money.

As a player he was good in the defensive part but bad in offence. The mid 3 of Matic Herrera Pogba often got annihilated when Pogba was double marked out of the game. I wish Herrera would still be here, but i also wish that we would get a better player then him. Industrious player but very limited.

The hypocrisy of people criticising Herrera for taking the cash while also insisting we turn DeLigt's head by throwing cash at him.
This. Every one of you would have done the same in your actual job, even more when the club has no direction . At least PSG goal is to win the CL , someone tell me what is ours?

Turns out when Ole said we'd be seeing some players for the last time it only applied to good players. Herrera gone, Pogba Lukaku and DDG to follow, but his good pals Jonah, Lingz, Youngy and Mata get to stink out the place some more. Jesus wept.

Taking the money is fine, leaving United because we're not great is fine. What's a bit silly is being a proponent of "football is for the little guy" narrative and simultaneously playing for PSG. I can't blame the guy but I can't take him as seriously anymore.

Should have extended his contract after the EL final.

I agree. A deal should have been done years before it runs out, not talks starting a year and a half before. The risk of someone coming in in the last year is too high.

We fecked up. I am sure we thought no top club would come in for him, so it wasnt a priority

Should've got a payrise and the arm band. In a squad devoid of characters he was the closest we had to a leader but, instead, we chose to concentrate on getting the likes of Jones, Smalling, Young, Mata etc tied down to longer contracts while paying Sanchez silly money. It's all on us.

If we had given him 250k a week and a 5 year contact people would be going batshit crazy.

I'm not fussed that he had gone, he certainly hasn't shown that he warrents that kind of contract. I don't have any animosity towards him and thought he has been decent yet unspectacular player for us. At least he looked like he was putting in effort when others didn't.

Concerned we don't seem to have made any moves for a replacement as yet, the optimist in me is hoping thing are happening behind the scene's.

I opened the thread just before your post and saw loads of tweets loading. I was getting excited for a second and they turn out to be about some team named Lasangne or something.
Exactly.... It used to be when you saw like 15 + tweets alert at noon or evening my time it meant big news probably a signing or Atleast a briefing. Now it's just a bunch of crap that LITERALLY no one cares about. But it's not against the rules and mods probably think its funny to annoy the majority of posters  for that I commend him/her/it

I care for the most part.

I know the tweets are within the rules, but are they border line on trolling now? Come on man
Wasn't the posts suppose to be 100% reliable with a source for this remade thread? It got replaced simply because of all the crap that was posted. I agree it's starting to get out of hand again. It's a vicious cycle .
