Important to note that we have too many CBs already with a prospect in Tuanzebe. I think we lack CB talent after Tuanzebe, but my problem is more so that we have no room. I would be more open to him if we got rid of Jones, and Rojo.
I know nothing about the guy but if he's had games at 18, even in that league, then he could be a prospect. It's not like he'd be thrown into the mix for first team places. It's just potential.

Not that people can't easily be flown out, but it seems unlikely we'll have any more signings on the plane to Australia on Monday at this point.

If this was us there would be people on here going on about how he was available for €20m last summer and how we've paid triple now and why don't we find these players first.

and how it took us so much time to get him when it's a straightforward deal with a buyout clause....

They can give us all three and he is theirs. :smirk:

All 3, plus £50m!

Matuidi is 32 so no real value. We would just be excusing them of his salary.

Sandro is 28 (29 Jan) so maybe £35m

Dybala is worth at least £65m

All three would be big salaries

Ok plus £50m might be pushing it, but we'd be wanting at least enough spare to buy Longstaff!

Plus they are not the Champions of the Champions League so it's false marketing

We could equally say welcome to the Champions...small print "of groundsmen"
Ummmm the term champions would mean Premier League winners when referenced by an English team. It’s not false marketing.

Very poorly, he is wasted there.
How so when his crossing ability is one of his best assets? He's also got a good pass on him, bit of pace and is agile. He's not a traditional winger like Insigne is with pure pace but to deny he wouldn't be a good asset on the wing, either wing is just not true.

Logically it makes sense that he would be able to play there. But he literally is awful in that position from the maybe 20 times I've seen him there. I think he lacks the explosive pace maybe to take on a full back and he is always far less involved. His confidence also seems to fall like he just isnt comfortable at all.

I wouldn't say his crossing ability is his best asset at all, personally. He's been shunted out to the wing to accommodate players, but if you look at his most effective season he was through the middle as a deep lying forward. Yes he can drift out wide, but his best assets are his agility, close control in tight spaces and shooting technique which aren't best utilised out there. Also, what @mancan92 said, his top speed on the wing won't work for him in the prem.

Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez will not be joining Manchester United this summer, the player's agent has told ESPN FC.
Sources had told ESPN FC last month that United were considering the Spain international as a midfield target should Paul Pogba be sold this summer, while there were indications that Saul himself was interested in the move, which would necessitate his €150m release clause being triggered.
However the 24-year-old was back at preseason with his team on Thursday morning, and his agent Jonathan Barnett has told ESPN FC that there is "nothing happening" and his client will not be joining the exodus from the Wanda Metropolitano this summer.
