Got to be honest, even I'm starting to lose hope we're in for any further significant signings at this point.

Yes yes it's only July 4th, but now we're at the stage where any new signing likely won't be going on the tour and so will miss valuable pre season team work with the squad.

We'll then be seeing players struggling to settle for the first half of the season.

Can't wait....

Sessegnon proved last season he isn't ready to be a 1st choice full back in the Prem so I can't see Spurs selling Rose especially since Sessegnon's natural position could very easily end up being further up the pitch
They often play 3 at the back. He'd find it a lot easier as a left wing back than a straight up LB

I agree with that, lb definitely isn't his ideal position imo. Not sure if he'll end up a wing back or a winger but it'll be one of the 2 imo.

So frustrating. AWB is the only real player signing. James is more a backup.
When we needed 4/5 first team signings.. and 4/5 outgoings.

Another season of the same issues.

Def not good enough
Mid over run
Strikers very inconsistent
0 creativity

I guess we need another season to judge the players who have have 3/4 years, and proven nothing. Such disappointment.

Jeez- state of the post ! Would you stop posting for sometime if we sign anyone from now? I will do it if we don't sign anyone.

And this whole story of missing tour is baseless. Players come in/out of the tours all the time.

Why did he do this? More money or the alure of the French title? I know he has a lot of fans here but we needed him next season more then in any other season, so i'm not a fan after his decision. May he enjoy his paycheck and the League 1 medal.

If you exclude Real out of the equation for players signed, we’re probably one of the sides that’s been most proactive although you could argue we should be one of the more proactive ones anyway. Real is a special case where there’s numerous factors to take into account like Perez has to sign them early so the handkerchief horde doesn’t oust him out of power, not to mention joining Real is an easy decision for most footballers sadly (in our situation).

So unless global warming does happen, leading to climates changes where Manchester becomes like California and Spain is turned into a frozen tundra hellhole, it’s something we and everyone else outside of Spain has to deal with.

Turns 30 in 40 days, to get a five-year deal at that age is as good an incentive as any. To do that while taking a giant step up in a sporting sense is a great move.

Latest rumour (and all we have are rumours) after he left was that we actually offered him a deal on a pay cut.

A 5-year deal.

No time for the guy.

Suddenly injured during a critical period of the season & never got the fuss about him.

When i see the bile Rooney gets whilst people commiserate this mercenary I’m lost for words.

His United career was a 6 out of 10 like his weekly performances.

Financial security for his family and a good length contract. Only he and the club know how his contract was dealt with. God I am angry. Especially watching some of the smug so-and-so's that have come back to training at our club.

Not got a big issue with Herrera going but I did think we'd have replaced with a more creative midfielder by now. Hopefully we get on that soon.

I think the fact that they have 13 CL trophies, have transitions that don't tend to last more then 2-3 years (as opposed to us that are on 6 years without competing) and break all sorts of football records is more of a pool then the weather. Players tend to want Real Madrid because they know they will win trophies there. It used to be the same with United and PL players. Winning attracts players more then anything else.

Yeah that's a crazy deal only a doped club could rationalise. Any team with financial sense would not match it. City wouldn't do it either tbh.

From his PoV it's a lottery win.

You wonder what we offered, because I think he would have stayed, but if somebody offers you five years and sets you up for live you would snatch their hands off.

Cash. Why wouldn't he with the reported money he's earning there?

Worst thing the club has done this window.

Well, knowing our strategy in relation to player over 30 and taking into consideration that Ander will be 30 in August. i'm not sure we would have found a common ground with him for a new contract. He just signed a 5 years contract with PSG ...

This is his last contract. It was bigger paycheck plus titles against 5th or 6th position in PL. Can anybody blame him?

The hypocrisy of people criticising Herrera for taking the cash while also insisting we turn DeLigt's head by throwing cash at him.
