Some good business being done all over Europe. Certainly players moving that would have benefited us. Hopefully it's because we're confident of closing better alternatives

Juve are lowballing Ajax, are talking about Pogba but cant even afford Icardi who Inter are desperate to sell..

If that was the case, surely it would make sense to sign the players they need (during this window) before a possible No-Deal Brexit (with all the work permit/value of the pound issues that come with it) rather than spend more money later down the line after the car crash has taken place?

They’ve all shut up shop mate. It’s not about the players. It’s about spending the cash. There’s no positive outcome to brexit but there are some crazy bad situations that could happen. Nobody is willing to go all out.

Indeed, plus they had been linked with Rodri for months. If we were in the same position, the replies would be "Why couldn't we have done this weeks ago? He had a release clause! City would have signed him as soon as the window opened."

In fact, there was a reply in here bemoaning how slow we were and how fast City were when a tweet was posted here two weeks ago saying City were going to activate the release clause.
To be fair his release clause was apparently active from 1st July at that value, so it was triggered pretty quickly, however you’re right! Months and months of unseen effort must go into these transfers from every club!

The only way to get things done quickly is pay over the odds to club, player, and agent - so things need time, selling clubs also need to line up replacements first too.

Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo, a shade of Zinedine Zidane's
I remember when he played against United (for Club Brugge I think) someone posted something along the lines of "that's the kind of name your racist grandfather would make up to sound generically African", which I still remember to this day

I remember that too!

Some top players slipping through the net with our new policy of bringing in young players..
I agree with bringing in young talent, but not taking big risks on players with a handful of premiership games under their belt.
I am annoyed that we let Ndombele slip away, and why we have not shown interest in other top midfielders. This is the area games are won and lost, and we should be chasing young but established midfielders. I just hope that the Risk pays off for Ole.

Anyone else get the feeling Juve are gonna feck this up? Ajax have made it fairly clear what they want, and in this market its not an exorbitant amount. These antics by Juve seem a bit weird to say the least.

Left back: Chillwell, Tierney, Telles and Firpo. Could name another 10 left backs. Amazing how many more left backs there are compared to the right.

Also, it's amazing how many scouts are on this forum that rate Joachim higher than Maguire, yet the only club in for him are Lyon and Sampdoria was willing to deal at such a low figure.
He may be a powerhouse for Lyon next season, but I do think people hype up players due to FM and such.

This stuff is more annoying than what Fridge Chutney posts tbf, who cares about the opinion of Luckhurst in a transfer thread? :wenger:

All he wants is hate-clicks to drive traffic to his articles.

If he's not on the blacklist in the OP he's going to be posted.

more Luckhurst nonsense. If I posted that I would be warned that this is isnt for transfer chat or speculation.

We should step in and offer 80-100 mil. Offer on which Ajax will say yes that second. Same with De ligt.
Sometimes, and this is that moment, you must overpay

The thing is, Ajax have promised that De Ligt can pick his own club. They have a certain amount that they want but won't sell him to a club where he does not want to go. The transfer should be simple as Ajax are not even asking for ridiculous money, but of course Juve are going to be their usual low balling cnuts.
