The prospect of Pogba at Old Trafford next season should be far scarier at this point than his being sold this summer.

No point keeping a player who doesn’t want to be here. Never mind such an inconsistent one who has downed tools multiple times already.

I don't get how people don't see this. He sulked most of this season to the point of sabotage for being played deeper and after a short stint further forward under Ole he was back there again.
If we play him as a 10 then he might bother as it gives him zero responsibility and all the glory but otherwise he'll make us regret keeping him. Sell and move on to a proper team please.

Don't see him deciding to piss about with the Euros coming up next year.

"James is already in place and seen as someone who can fill the problem position on the right wing."

James should be seen as someone who can provide cover and competition for Martial on the left. Solskjaer is taking a crazy gamble if his plan for our weakest position is a young, cheap player from the Championship.

The club - we need a right winger. Our note to scouts, look for players who play on the left.

I almost feel the Sancho links was just because he was flavour of the month and friends with some United players.

Corriere dello Sport suggest United wanted Milan Skriniar to be included as any part of a deal for Romelu Lukaku, but saw their suggestion rejected.

Sancho would have been marketable as he is English. Literally the only reason Glazers will sanction a big money spend or huge wages on one player is if he is marketable. Di Maria, Pogba, Sanchez and interest in Sancho have followed that line of thinking.

Sarri told Paratici "I succeeded with Hazard, I can also do it with a phenomenon like Pogba,"

The "report" about Eriksen rejecting United originated from Tom McDermott. He's blacklisted in this thread and not worth listening to.
Yeah I deleted the Tweet as soon as I realized it was from McDermott originally.

So, Real sets the deadline, will give us 3,5 mil euros and not penny more, we want 749 players, most of those rejected us, Salah turn down Real, we are buying Barca players because we want to help them get Neymar, yes, we are that nice. Am I missing something?: Aaah, Maguire for 350k. Charming. And what humiliating loss against City? Maybe they meant Everton, or Cardiff.

Nobody, has submitted a bid for him. Zenit St. Petersburg probably will in a couple of months though, and he’ll go there. Fake news and fake hype surrounding these Portuguese players. Sick of it.

Man Utd on brink of agreeing new contract with Juan Mata after lengthy talks

If Andreas pierera is not good enough to fill his position in Europa league too than we should sell him and plan a proper mata replacement then. It makes no sense to keep him next season otherwise.

This club has a bleak future. The people running it are on speed. Gomes will leave as well.

Not ideal. Not terrible. If Pogba is off, we might actually deploy 4231 at times with Mata at #10 where he is actually useful. Highly professional, good for the young players in the dressing room. And just a year extension which is sensible. Hopefully not a significant upgrade on his already decent wages.

Jones, Mata, Smalling, Lingard, Young, Rojo. They all got new contracts in last year, year and a half. Rebuilding?:lol:

Makes sense, I think. We already have too much transfer work that needs doing without losing additional players (if we can reasonably avoid it).

This is more confirmation to me that this club is fecked, I have absolutely no confidence at all that we will even be able to compete with most teams next season going by the direction we are currently taking.

Not sure what the problem is with Mata staying for another year.
What does he seriously offer? Last season he featured in 31 games, scoring 5 goals with 2 assists. I think we always need to be grounded with young players etc. but do you seriously think Mason Greenwood or Angel Gomes would so much worse having all that game time?

Not to mention the other issues; he’s on the wrong side of 30, one of the higher paid players etc.

This pretty much sums up the standards we hold players up to these days.

Don't understand why Real Madrid would go for Pogba instead of Kante. He'd be extremely effective for them in that league.
