Dont get it personally. Only area they are short for me even though invested many a time replacing Kompany with the right partner for Laporte. Otamendi and Stones are both good defenders but feel its where they have come up short in the biggest games, not from failing to create or score goals. Would think a centre back and a replacement for Fernandhino would be the priorities.

Sterling, Bernardo Silva, Sane, Mahrez, Aguero and Jesus in the positions Felix would probably play

DAvid Silva, DeBruyne, Foden in the positions Fernandes would play

It’s probable that 2 of those may be offloaded

Is Bruno Fernandez all that?! 25 now and this is his first top season. Also wary of the level he is playing at.

Is a good point, not really seen anything of him to judge apart from a game or two donkeys years ago when he was in Italy. Looks great on youtube but how much have people on here actually seen of him bar the youtube and great stats?
Cant really remember links of him to big clubs at all apart from the last few months, though have read teams were in for him last year but dont really remember it.
One reason Pogba has so much value and would be hard to replace I feel directly is there seems to be loads of really good defensive or all round midfieders....but not many younger ones especially for more of an attacking Scholes/Lampard/Pogba type....even though personally I have tired of him and wouldnt be all that gutted if he went to be honest

Maybe, but who? Mahrez I can see but the only other one age wise would be David SIlva, and he is still a fantastic player I would think for a good couple of years. Not seen enough of Fernandes to judge but Felix looks fantastic...but they have one of the premierships best ever strikers and one of the worlds best young strikers, think Jesus is superb but been a little forgotten this year (mind you thought the young one that went to Leicester looked really good too)....and does he really improve on Bernardo Silva or Sterling or Sane?
Just think there squad is stacked but they can improve the first team in a couple of areas....not with those signings and £200m so much so though. Seem like those two would be great signings for anybody of course to be fair

Not sure about that move for Jovic.

How so?

Benzema has maybe 2 years max left in Madrid,he'll definitely be getting ample playing time

Think it's a great move for all parties and the fee is peanuts in this market

It really is a nothing article, based on one not very revealing quote... As if United forced signings on Mourinho, or as if Solskjaer can get Mbappe is he just says so.

I understand the pessimism in this thread. Some targets will go to our rivals.

Good news is we are in such a state that there is a plethora of players available who can and will improve our squad.

Since I don’t work for the Mirror I won’t bother inserting names...

Can you imagine if we were linked with a couple of 28 year olds for 200m?
