How on earth has Darmian still a valid contract with you? It has been expiring for a decade now.
I don't see why that isn't fair. You paid 12m, he's in his last year of his contract and he's barely played for you. His valuation has greatly depreciated at United.

Another season of holding onto Darmian then...
€5-6m
We only have to pay Inter €5m to take him away? How is this not done yet?
Fellaini went for 6mil
This is where Woodward is foolish, if he sold him last year he would have got a higher fee.
"Has made his critics eat their words. Fast, good touch, eye for goal and versatile – he offers so much to United’s attack and is only likely to get better."
This is quote from ES about why we must keep Lingard. They lost all credentials for me
It's just typical that we let our players go for peanuts. He's not even 30 yet ffs. Italian clubs always take the piss with valuations.
It’s not a great one sure, but it still might be better than giving it to a guy who’d struggle to get games pretty far down the table. The captain has to be able to perform to the highest standard at least. Young is an embarrassing captain, it has to be said.Well the have been full of shite for a while now so that's hardly surprising.
He might have the highest ceiling when it comes to his footy ability but he is hardly setting the right example when it comes to attitude or anything off the pitch really. Just like Tuchel won't give it to Neymar despite him being their best technical player. What message does it send if we give a player who is agitating for a move every summer (through his agent or otherwise) the captaincy?
I said it in another thread. We've seen it all before year after year, we go into the summer saying we'll get rid of the deadwood and by September they're still here eating up the wage bill cos we hold out for daft fees.
People will blame Ole when we see Young, Smalling and Jones playing for us next year. However, people need to realise its the club's failure to free up the wage bill that's stopping us from getting better players.
Honestly the blame is with Woodward he doesn't know when to sell players.
Whoever has been involved in value estimation of our players is at fault ultimately. I don't know who that is at the club.

So Woody then.
We could have got 10mil for him last summer which would have been good business but we declined.
They haven't been able to get a work permit as he hasn't played enough for Nigeria. He was injured for the World Cup last year which was a blow. That's an odd one, hasn't even played for Everton right?

At the time there would have been loads of complaints about how we don't get decent money when we sell our players and plenty, including yourself, said that the €20M asking price was fine.We could have got 10mil for him last summer which would have been good business but we declined.
They need to get real, they should just offer 15mil plus 5mil in add ons. Mind you if we sold him last year we probably would have had no problems with the asking fee.

Press Association journalist.
I’d post the Sean Bean meme but would probably get in trouble He’s like the same players as Mctominay. What a pointless transfer imo
