He was a 10 in the U-17. I think the market see him as modfielder. But in the professional he looks more an attacking player. Watching him in the u-17 i thought he would be similar to Kaka(in style). But he looks more 9 than 10 to me now.
 
Is is that hard for us to attract any good player that would be a good fit for our midfield? That's the part that makes me so sad, and I don't think it's Ole, I think the whole situation is so terrible... just identify the best players and convince them with money if there's nothing else, we are going to get blown out of the water for the rest of the season since confidence is so low after that Arsenal defeat.

There s a theory (conspiracy?) doing the rounds. Glazers want to sell and they don't want to invest a lot.

Then sell fast to whoever you want, but let us get some investment, it's painful to not do anything. I am all for waiting for the right players and all, but right now, our young players cannot play a whole season and be consistent. We need some players who can execute what Ole is asking because his plan is not that bad ultimately, but the players need to focus and think fast.

Theories aside, my impression is that the club is too slow to react. It was reported that today Ole had to meet Woodward to discuss transfers.
My guess is that we make a derisory bid for one player on the 3 Rd week of January which will be refused.
Then on the last day of the window will make another bid which will be rejected by the selling club as they won't have time to find a replacement.

Jack Rodwell! That's a name I haven't heard in a while. Very surprised Sheff Utd have moved in for him. Good move from his perspective. Doubt he'll play much, though. Be a bit like Ravel.

I don't understand why he's not already signed and training with us. If Ole is not interested fair enough but he would be a major improvement on our current AM options. If Ole does want him, what the feck is Woodward waiting for? I agree, Maddison is not coming to us from Leicester in January. Will be expensive in the summer and has a long drawn out transfer saga written all over it.

Could well be that if we go for Maddison in the summer, it stretches out the whole transfer window Leicester refuse to sell and we don't have time to get alternative and we could be truly fecked. Really hope not :(

Is he that good, Graelish? What do you like in him? Just that he's slightly better than Lingard?

Because he doesnt want to come when Villa is facing a relegation battle.

Really hope we're not waiting until the transfer window opens to start thinking about transfers.

They have said from day one that if the targets they want are available, they will go for them. The problem is not starting to think about transfers, its starting to think about other transfers than their perfect United targets.


But it wont happen .

Agreed but this new transfer policy makes a lot of sense, there is no point in pursuing player who do now want to join us or who are not fully committed.
