We'd better win the league the soon if those are the players we're priotising otherwise there's no point in going for short term players and not getting immediate success. If winning the title is the price we pay then good but even that isn't guaranteed.
What if we won the league next season after buying experienced players, then the following season we bought a couple of 21-23 year old's? Does that mean we can dispel this notion that the club is now exclusively looking to buy players aged 28 and over?

The thread has only just started and I'm already fed up of reading it. The whining that ensues every time we're linked with anyone older than 26 is incredibly annoying

It is a valid point - it wouldn't be if Rashford and Martial were regulars, but they arent. We can't have a team where the majority of the players are around 30, this was something Ferguson always mentioned. He wanted a mix of young, and old. If we sign a 30 year old and 3 players in their mid 20s - no problem. But we should not sign 3 players in their late 20s - and I hope this is something Mourinho realizes as well.

What's with you people, we haven't bought anyone yet there's panic about the age. I'd understand if we only bought old folks who can barely walk under Jose but we of course haven't. This is crazy.

Anyone have any idea why I cant see the tweets? Is it a settings issue or something?

Sterling 23, Sane 22, Jesus 21.
Willian 29 Sanchez 29
So? Linedlöf, Bailly, Pogba. This is a fruitless exercise. Are we ignoring the younger players we're linked to just to give another win to City as well?

 Gotta love posters like this who selectively picks our oldest players in attack and compares to City's youngest ones  Did you forget we have Lukaku (24), Rashford (20), Martial (22) ?

Didn't he move to Milan because he wanted to stay in Italy? Think he has a son with a serious medical condition and therefore leaving Italy isn't really on the cards.
Didn't know about his son, but yeah I know he's mentioned before that he doesn't want to leave Italy. Its sad as he'd be a perfect signing.

Manchester United are working on a deal to make Fred a central component of their close season rebuild. United is understood to have proposed contractual terms to the midfielder. - [Duncan Castles]

Hope this happens.

Alderweireld for £40m would be great business. I wonder how much someone like Godin would be even though he's 32 i think he's one of the best defenders around.

So do i! Fred just glides past players wich we lack in our team nowadays. He would be our engine, and i would say our most important transfer in if it happens.

Ricardo Pereira is a very good player and still young. Wouldn't mind taking a punt on him. Good business for them.

Yep. He would be a cracking signing for them and that' a decent price. I'm from Leicester and I've kept a close eye on them and they've needed to upgrade their wingbacks for the last couple of years to be perectly honest.

Simpson has been decent but on the decline the last year or so understandably with age, not especially great at attacking or defending and Chilwell is still a work in progress.

I normally don't listen to Luckhurst for transfers. Don't think he has an amazing record.

Gonna spend 100s of millions and have to replace the squad in 3 years at this rate. Is there no one in their mid-20s good enough for us :x
