They're a among the most credible sources in Spain, also known as Cadenaser. If they are reporting we want Saul rather than City, then that could be great news.

To be honest if we replace him with genuine quality and free up a slot for one of the youngsters to develop, then it's a win win for me. Don't want to see the club being held to ransom by 'squad' players. If he were a nailed on starter and of genuine quality, I'm certain the club would have moved heaven and earth to match what PSG are going to pay him.
 
If we let Herrera go I'd murder for Saul, but I'm not sure how we would be able to afford him while also buying players for other also pressing positions. And I'm not even sure he would come considering he signed a nine year deal with Atletico.

I think Fraser would be a good squad player for us as well

We have been linked with Saul for years. He would be a perfect fit. Cant see us spending big on a CM when we will be after a RW. If we spend big on a midfielder we wont buy a top centerback.

I know he's a better dribbler then Herrera and maybe a better passer but he has 4 goals and 1 assist in La Liga this season. I don't think he addresses our need for extra creativity - strictly going by stats that is, if there's someone who watches him regularly, feel free to correct me

I would rather we but a very good DM and a creative hard working CM like Eriksen or Fekir. Eriksen this season has 5 goals and 10 assists in the PL whereas Fekir has 9 goals and 5 assists. If we can get a CM like Eriksen or Fekir, that will add 10-15 goals from the midfield. If we can keep Pogba that's a lot of creativity and goals from the front 5

Well the deal is very likely to happen so we might as well start our clear out with him. Whether it's this year or next year I feel like ole will probably have looked to replace with someone younger and better.
 
Hopefully not another pointless summer chasing unattainable players, like ones who signed a 10 year contract with their club, aka Saul. But I won't hold my breath.

Beside Pogba. I rate him very highly and I'd be gobsmacked if he doesn't prove to be better than Herrera

Him and Partey would be fantastic value totaling €95m and would really elevate our midfield. We could also be smart and get Toby for €30m which would then take our spend to €125m which would leave €125m for a RB and RW if we're looking for a £250m summer which truthfully is the minimum we need to spend as we really are lacking in quality.

He's no slouch. In any case we should not be going into next season with Matic as our main DM.
 
We’ve been following Tielemans since he was a kid. Like many players we end up buying, they have been on our radar for years. Probably why we keep getting linked to Douglas Costa too, we were close to bringing him to Europe - and Pachuca’s chairman said we’ve tracked Lozano since he was about 16.

Tielemans would be shrewd business. We probably have been waiting for him to mature.
