Isn't Saul considered the best for Atletico?

Saul is more of an attacking midfielder. He plays mostly on the right side of a midfield four though I think his best position would be on the right side of a midfield three. He can put in defensive work but if you play him as a designated DM you lose a lot as you'd be wasting his best qualities.

I think of Atletico's midfielders Rodrigo is the best DM, Partey is good also but not near Rodri's level (current) or ceiling (which is high). I think Saul is similar to Koke's level though this season hasn't been as good as Koke.

If we are signing a new RB, as mentioned, then Young would be a back-up. Jones is already a back-up & Rojo will be gone too as a new CB will come in.

As much as I've laughed down the years at us needing to keep the Spanish lads to make De Gea happy. If two of my mates were moving on from my workplace and I knew I could do the same job elsewhere, I may very well think it's time to move on too.

So yeah it wouldn't surprise me. Not sure if it'll be to Real though, as I can't see them spending big on a keeper with all the other business they seem like they want to do.

I am all for a clear out. Would be a good move for both parties with Mata moving to Barca. As much as I like the guy he ain’t suited to our style of play and is not worth signing on a long term deal at his age.

Jones will be a back up I presume. 3 or 4th choice. Young won't play if we sign Wan Bissaka or another other RB. Mata leaving is necessary- it's not worth to keep him he's declined and not suited for Ole's football.
