All the youth talent in Ingurland should take notice in the different trajectories top talent at United\City\Chelsea take. Doesn't matter if the showers are gold plated and the tiles are made of diamonds, unleashing your potential doesn't come if someone isn't willing to take the chance on you.

I remember when Sarri was appointed, Morata come out like, " I think Sarri's style of play will help me better, I can't play so well in the defensive system, it limited my attacking. Now my mind is not blocked anymore, I hope I can score a lot of goal in Sarr's free-flowing of attacking"

All of sudden, he wants to play for Simeone who is probably more defensive than Conte and willing to lower his wages to join Atheltic Madrid.

People say lots of shit. Didn't Sarri mention how he didn't care much for sticking his nose in transfers and prefers to coach the squad he has?

Mainly because he (and his wife ) want to live in Madrid?

He is an Atleti youth product originally too. I saw their game on Saturday. I think he'll suit them and it could work very well.

Paredes will rotate with Jorginho I think if signed. Lad can't play 60 odd games this season.

Chance of stagnating career ala Veratti with no real competition apart from CL and no possibilities of moving out when desired?

Since you mention Veratti let's look at him as an example.

He was at Pescara, earning a tiny wage, and had never played a top flight game or been capped by Italy when PSG signed him. At PSG he became regarded as a top class midfielder, became established in his national team, won a large number of team and individual awards and earned more money than he could spend in several lifetimes. (If this is career stagnation then 99.9% of footballers are having disastrous careers). The possibility of leaving has been an option at times but he always turned it down by signing repeated contract extensions.

If I was de Jong I would look at Veratti's career as almost a dream path to follow rather than a warning not to sign for them.

I do agree they've bought well, but it's not exactly hard when you have a bottomless pit of money and can do it all in 3 seasons. We don't buy several big names at once, we tend to do one/two a season, which means our mistakes are highlighted much more. There's no way we would have bought B. Silva, Walker, Mendy and Laporte all in one season.

This is my point as well. They buy a lot of expensive players, more than almost any club can afford, using blood money. But they hardly overpay for them individually.

Yes his career has stagnated. PSG has to fight nobody to win those team honors and let me know about how many times he was nominated for b'dor/world XI etc. He is too good for the French league and hence his honors which is only on league level. Chopu moting is on his way to win some trophies in France.

PSG are no more dominant in France than Juventus are in Italy or Bayern in Germany but I never see posters getting upset or confused when players join those clubs.

I don't think Veratti has ever been up for the Ballon d'Or but tbf that award is heavily biased towards attackers and while he is a top class midfielder he's not one who stands out from his generation like Xavi for example. He has been on the shortlist for the FIFPro World XI three times since joining PSG which is not an insignificant achievement. I stand by what I said that his career has benefited massively from joining PSG and it's understandable why so many other top class players have joined them in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

I don't really get this, history of Chelsea managers tells us that Sarri will not necessarily last until Xmas '19, so why is Higuain so desperate to join him there?

I doubt he is enjoying playing for Milan atm.

Stones is class, and probably worth a lot more now than what they payed for him. Danilo hasn't worked out as planned, but wasn't overly expensive in todays market anyway. Mangala was a flop, I'll give you that.

But look at us, and basically everyone else, and you'll find the same thing, only that we pay even more for our flops. I hate City, their disgusting ownership, and everything they stand for, but they're very, very good regarding transfers and squad building.

Compare the record signings for both clubs, and tell me again who's overpaying.

You’re taking a price they paid a few seasons ago and comparing it with now. You simply can’t do that. They bought 4 defenders at £50m when most didn’t go for £30m. They bought a goalkeeper at £35m when the last time a keeper was bought anywhere near that was Buffon.

Like I said wait until they have to buy players in the positions that cost a fortune to replace like we did. A striker these days will cost well over £100m if they are a name.

Plus the fact United don’t come out trying to act like they don’t spend money. This isn’t the first time they have acted like they have a budget to abide to.

This is what ESPN reported about a week ago. I hope he isn't allowed to go this window.

Let him run down for another 6 months, can't accept £35m now.

Just thinking if we're (Chelsea) under a transfer ban from the summer he wouldn't be able to leave till his contract expired?

Milan aren't playing very well no service to him, they're nowhere near the level of Juventus or teams he's been at before. He looked very frustrated and annoyed in the cup game I saw against Sampdoria.

We (Chelsea) do have a reputation of changing managers a lot, fairly sure Sarri will get time though to implement his style properly like Klopp and Poch. As long as we're playing good football and making enough money from European football I think we'll keep him. New Chelsea these days.

I find it shocking that you can be a United fan and not know about Beckham and Simeone. I mean, I get that there are fans that were born in 98' for example. But surely you must have seen it on T.V shows or random googling.

Post WC, Beckham was vilified by the English press who went on a media campaign to blame him and like with the Ronaldo and Rooney incident (please don't say you don't know about that....) it showed how mentally strong Beckham was. Some of the stuff printed about him was truly horrific and certain papers wouldn't dare do the likes of that today. It was a witch hunt and a horrible thing to witness. He of course was boo'd up and down the country as well.

The mirror for example, created a David Beckham cut out Dartboard so that you could throw darts at his face. Stay classy.

It was pretty disgusting. Some people were actually make Beckham effigies and hanging them in the street.

The Irish on the other hand took to smashing up Henry Hoovers when the handball incident occurred when France played them. You may remember Henry hand balling the ball to keep it in play before scoring. Amazingly the goal stood.

Can't believe we managed to get £25m for him tbh

Most average footballer I've ever seen play the game, literally offers nothing for me.

He was also the most out of depth player I've seen play for the club in the Champions league.

Remember when he was the next best thing since sliced bread on here when he signed. Was really gutted when we went for him. Should have stayed at Southampton.

' Schmidfield'

Loan move , not bad.
Would like us to show interest.Think a new environment, less pressure to instantly perform and working under Carrick could potentially get his career back on track, especially as he's still young.

I think a transfer ban only applies to ins, not outs.

He’s heard that the pie and mash is amazing in London Town.

What ever happened to him? There was loads of talk about big teams chasing him a few seasons ago, he's barely made the team this season. Injuries?

Loss of form,Injuries and I dont think Favre see's him in his set-up for the future, which happens.
He's at a crossroads,Weigl. Next move important but he needs patience to get some much needed confidence back into his game.
Untapped potential.
Would take a punt, more so on loan.

Stuani is the chosen by Barça. Valverde wants to bring him now. 15m€

Godín has given his word to Inter, to play there the next two seasons with the option of a third. The agreement between Inter and Godín is total but is not yet closed. Atlético offered only one year to Godín and the Uruguayan preferred the italian option
