How about we exchange Smalling and Bailly for Bonucci and Chiellini instead?

We should be looking at Dybala .

Martial - - Rashford - - Dybala

Frontline is soemthing else
I'd love us to sign Dybala and Sancho. Against smaller teams at home we could line up
LW Martial
ST Rashford
RW Sancho

CAM Dybala

CM Pogba and Herrera

That'd be frightening. Dybala would be a great upgrade on Mata, as we're renewing Mata contract then I doubt we'd sign both Dybala and Sancho, unless we offload Sanchez and Lukaku.

See I was thinking this as well.

We could have Guardiola as manager but until the first 11 players improve we are never going to win anything of merit.

Yes buy players we need, buy players that suit a system we want to play and a the manager’s style. I’m not saying spend £100m just because we have the money there but surely there are targets we could have bought both in the summer and this transfer window. The money hasn’t been spent and I’m constantly seeing players that would improve our team go to rivals (mainly foreign) for money I wouldn’t call ridiculous.

I think we've moved off the topic I was replying to - young talents, not yet proven in a top league. We can take De Ligt as an example here. First off, yes, I will be disappointed when he goes to Barca. But my point is it's not the end of the world. We aren't in a stable enough position to pay ridiculous fees for potential.. what is it being quoted, 70/80 million?! As a perfect contrast, consider when we splashed just about equivalent fees for Anderson and Nani. We were kings of England and in a stable position to slowly vet in young, unproven talent. We're not in a place as a club to do that now. Again we have an example internally - Martial. Look at his career after joining us, last three years especially. Consider where he might be if he joined that squad that took us to Moscow.

As for overall team spending, I've not been talking about that at all. Just focused on the young talent. I'm all for big transfers on big names to revamp our starting 11 .

Dybala is an incredibly overrated footballer, avoid.

Although Dybala is vastly overrated thanks to Football Manager, wouldn't mind a swap deal for Lukaku or Sanchez seeing as their strikers aren't younger and they have to sell Higuain or someone else to be able to afford Ronaldo next season.

Yes, he likes to keep the ball, he "chews" the play a lot, he turns and turns again, he passes short, the ball back to him, small dribbing, turn again...
Here Modric complaining in the middle of the match "ehh, pass a bit, pass the ball, don´t do that"

In any case it does not have to be necessarily bad. In fact his presence transformed Madrid, with the debate of whether the 4-3-3 was sustainable in the elite matches.

Interesting, I'd never really thought of him that way, do you want Real to keep him? As the next manager might want to use him where as Solari doesn't.

Utter crap if you ask me. He's like a shite version of Pogba. No way is he worth that. Just them trying to up the price and stay relevant.

It is just Lotito trying to generate interest, something he is famous for. He would sell entire Lazio for 160m.

If the Willian deal somehow goes through, I can't feel sorry for Malcom. He backstabbed Roma in the last minute, was so proud after his goal vs Inter that he cried, and now the club are ready to toss him away after half a season. But the saddest of it all is that he would probably jump on the opportunity to return in 3-4 years. Barcelona & Madrid always seem to get away with treating their players like this...

I agree with you that we aren't in the position to do so but sometimes people worry about the age of players too much. I think it's quite rare for the amount of scouts, managers, pundits and fans to get it totally wrong on a player like De Ligt, he's clearly a special talent. City have been buying players under the age of 25 and it's paid huge dividends for them as the club now has a quality squad which could play with each other for 5-10 years. Liverpool are in the same position and Spurs also. We just don't have that. I'd rather the club purchase De Ligt for £80m than buy Maguire, Alderwierald for similar money or spend over £100m to get Koulibaly.

City has been buying younger players, but so have we. Martial, Dalot, Lindelof, Bailly, Lukaku and Pogba at the time. A lot of their important players are well in their late twenties or thirties. Silva, Kompany, Fernandinho, Aguero, Otamendi. Even De Bruyne, Gundogan and Walker are 28. They'll need to replace all of them in the next couple of years too.

I wonder if we could strike a deal involving Lukaku.

Think it's possible. Lukaku talked up Juventus in one of the interviews and will fit him like a glove. I think they value Dybala at £90m. So probably Lukaku + 30m should do it.

Wow that team is special. As some other guys mentioned, we could offer Lukaku as a makeweight in the deal.

Yes, I am sure we would love to swap Pogba for Douglas Costa. :wenger:

I think Juve are getting too big for their shoes.... Douglas Costa for Pogba.... Douglas Costa is no doubt a good player but he's 28/29.... and Pogba is just getting into his prime... He will remain at United and become a legend... future captain... We don't want any of Juve's players. If there was any winger, I would like us to have.... that would be O Dembele without a doubt. Juve can have Sanchez... if they like for Douglas Costa.

He's completely right. I think we seriously botched his development. Remember him at Malaga or his first couple months with us, what a player he was and what he could have been :(

Btw it's a strange situation, Isco is obviously appreciated by Paratici as well but he is the one obsession of Allegri(ever since the milan-malaga CL clashes), who, if rumours are to be believed, might be our coach next season
I think It Will be Mou. Karanka left Nottingham, why?:nervous:
Pretty sure there was a quote floating around in the last few months where someone asked Ronaldo about Marcelo and Isco being linked to Juventus and Ronaldo responded something like, ‘yeah it’s aleays good to sign top class players like Marcelo’ and completely ignored the Isco part.
Yes,I remember.Actually Isco also said something like "we can't cry for Who doesn't play Here"
Interesting, I'd never really thought of him that way, do you want Real to keep him? As the next manager might want to use him where as Solari doesn't.
I would like to keep him but I think he will leave

https://www.sport-english.com/en/news/barca/fc-barcelona-are-interested-in-alvaro-morata-7239516

Hopefully we can work out a deal With Atletico, Barcelona, Seville or anyone else to get Morata out on Loan. His wages seem to be massive so the financial side is a little bit complicated. Guess it might come down to the club judging the financial side against what Morata will be able to contribute for us in the next 5 months if he's unhappy.
With all due respect why do other teams fans keep updating about thier teams with ‘We’. Its confusing! Every time I read...We should sell Morata, We should get top 4, We are looking to sign etc. I have to stop and read the name tag to see who the heck you are talking about. We on the Caf should refer to Utd?

Dybala > Icardi surely?

Don't quite watch Serie A but Dybala has two goals in the league so far this season from 17 appearances. Althought my first thought is that Cristiano is probably hogging the goals.
