Well given the fact that we've hired 50 scouts all over the world and completely revamped the academy acquisitions(for which the results are clear), I'd say its clear that Woodward took notice.
I'm not blaming Woodward but whether there is 50 scouts or 150 scouts is irrelevant if someone who knew the inner workings of the club better than me and you is saying there was incompetence at work.

He's been fired from the club, it'd be stupid to take everything he says at face value. Ofcourse he's gonna be critical of the club.

He probably is butt hurt over getting fired, but we as a club have made some very strange decisions which has impacted our first team.

Should have gone for him instead of Fred if we wanted a box to box midfielder.

I agree. Was a top choice for me, and would have reportedly cost about £35m too at the time.

Even if we had to sign De Ligt by 16, he would be getting Chong treatment and Frenkie De Jong would rotting in U23 under dinosaurs coaches. That's why we are looking to buy a lower division club where we can send our best talents.

Are we?

If they're offering stupid money I'd cash in while everyone thinks he's a brilliant player. Do exactly what Everton did to us with Lukaku.

Only problem with selling him is he's probably our best striker and he's not even a good striker. Good ol Lukaku and Sanchez, eh?

Just 18 months ago, Lukaku and Sanchez finished the season as 2nd and 3rd on the Premier League top scorers list, with 49 goals & 16 assists between them.

Their form at United is just unbelievably bad in comparison. Since 2013, we've been the club where good players come to die.

Various tweet contained in this article. City to spend £50M on another defender, because they have one out with a hurty leg for a few weeks.

Will city fans turn on Pep and insist he utilises the players in his squad, as he personally bought them? Wish United would spend an extra 20 million or so to get top quality defenders, rather than shopping a tier below then expecting top quality...

He has regressed but not sure he should be sold just yet, especially without a replacement. Dalot is good potential and can play on either flank, but shouldnt start every game yet. Having said that, not sure who is available in the market for fb nowadays that is not crap or average.

Doherty from Wolves looks impressive, as does Wan Bisaka.. the latter would provide good healthy competition for Dalot for years
