We were also in attendance at their game vs Slavia Prague last week.

Any particular talents in Bordeaux right now?

And their game against PSG. Having a look at their squad, perhaps: Kounde (CB), Komano (LW) or Tchouameni (CM). Although I haven't seen any Boardeaux games since Malcom left.

RMC saying that we're signing 16 year old Noam Emeran for a fee of €2m rising to €10m (sell on fee).

£90m in January isn’t a terrible price for him. We won’t be the only one after him in the summer.

Koulibaly a reason to support liverpool against napoli, in fact if napoli fail to qualify he should be attainable.

There's never a reason to support Liverpool. Even if they don't qualify they are 2nd in serie A and they won't sell their best CB in the middle of the season.

I can't see us paying that much. That's £15m more than the current record.

Yeah feck that, can't see them selling in January regardless. They are basically nailed on for 2nd already domestically so can give Europe a good go now whether that's the CL or Europa.

Is Koulibaly not too old for most people on here? By the start of next season he’d be 28.

He's a CB so that still gives us a good 5/6 years of top service - look at Thiago Silva.

If there's anything Liverpool have taught us it's that paying top dollar for absolute top quality (Alisson, Van Djik...) is worth it; sure you'll get laughed and scoffed at because you can no longer spend that extra £15m you paid for them on Charlie Adam as a backup DM instead but you'll also avoid those multiple extra goals that lesser players would concede at the worst moments of a season.

So let Ramsey leave for free. Sell Ozil at a cut price in January and keep Mkhitariyan. Is the club trying to finish 6th?

Its all hands on deck time at the moment and we won't be able to replace Ozil in January anyway so keep him.

I'd take him at United, his guile and craft to link everything together would be a dream for our attack.

Sadly doesn't fit into our buy high sell low philosophy.

Having another 30 year old star player on high wages stinking up the place is exactly what we need right now. A midfield of him, Pogba and Matic is the stuff of dreams for our opponents. Lazy and completely open. Plus Jose would need years to drop him, nevermind if a new manager has any plans on using him. It is one of the the worst transfers we could make at this point if you ask me.

Yeah, he would fit well with Pogba on the bench. Wise investment considering Jose is running out of players to throw under the bus, and Ozil can probably give him a couple of excuses on that front.

Completely agree with this. There's a reason why Arsenal have frozen him out despite Ramsey also about to leave.

This is the problem with the Premier League mentality; player in form - buy buy buy at any cost; player out of form - awful awful awful avoid at any cost.

Cost being the thing that balloons because of this mentality.

What Ozil would give us is a subtlety and cleverness that we've severely lacked for some time. Mata is the closest we have to offering this but lacks the pace and overall quality Ozil has to stretch and unlock defences on his own. You don't need to use Pogba and Ozil together in every game, or you could use a diamond to play them both alongside two runners like Herrera and Matic, even play Ozil from the right now that Dalot provides width.

Point being he's a proven world class talent when utilised properly and at £25m it's a pinch, as we'll inevitably see from the far more transfer savvy Italians.

Never gonna happen. Not unless Saudis take over, as we can't even offer a swap deal. Pogba plus who? Martial with one year left on his contract? We'd still have to throw in at least €100m I'd imagine.[/QUOTE]

I think Woody has hard on for a marquee signing like Neymar.

He has one in Pogba, seems like he wants the marquee signing to keep us relevant whilst we figure out what we're doing from top to bottom. The only attacking players I'd have are Dybala and Sancho.

And I'd say we could possibly get both Sancho and Dybala for the price of Neymar. Pointless discussion while Mourinho is in charge. Can only imagine how quickly a relationship between him and Neymar would go down the shitter

You would all cream yourself if we got Neymar, cut the bollocks. A world class forward if you ever saw one and would instantly be the best player in the league.

Which posters are you responding to? Haven't read anyone saying they wouldn't want him, simply that it's a nothing story and ain't gonna happen. So maybe take your own advice, learn to read people's actually post and 'cut the bollocks'

Or perhaps you should read a poster a couple posts up saying the ‘only’ attacking players he’d have are Dybala and Sancho. You then continue with that train of thought. Neither of you mention anything that suggests the article itself is nonsense, so that’s not what you said at all.

I think we could, Neymar will end up at Real more than likely.

I definitely wouldn't cream myself, the theatrics he comes out with are simply embarrassing. Would much rather persevere with a youngster with the potential to be a world class player than have Neymar.

Read my first post mate....."never gonna happen". Means it's bullshit and ain't happening. Silly arguement to be having, silly post to be getting worked up about. More chance of me giving my liver a break over Xmas than Neymar coming here under the current set up

After getting the likes of ADM, Falcao, Schweinsteiger, Zlatan, Pogba and Sanchez, it’s kinda hard to excited for the marquee names out there. Just one name in that bunch lived up to his billing, which was Zlatan.

Meanwhile our rivals are out there getting the players below the marquee level and they’re working wonders for them... just like Sir Alex used to do. Sir Alex never really indulged in the marquee names, probably because he thought that they’d be disruptive in terms of ego, wages and whatever shit they could get away with, because of their name.

These days we got ADM who wanted to be in Paris, Falcao who just came off a very bad injury, Schweinsteiger aiming for a last big pay check, Pogba who... I’m not sure?.... and Sanchez who wants the biggest pay check.

Now we’re gonna get Neymar, who is a diva and god knows if he’ll get used to Manchester and then couple in his ego next to Pogba and Sanchez there. It’s gonna be a clusterfeck. He probably won’t come here and is using us to get a better contract at PSG or get that move to Real Madrid, seeing that Ronaldos gone, Bales a bit injury prone and Benzemas peaked. The road is clear for him to take that Real Madrid mantle and be the King at the Bernabeu.
