"Although the transfer window is closed for Championship clubs to make permanent signings they are able to negotiate loan deals until August 31. League One Sunderland have also been linked with Wilson."

Sounds like it's essentially a short term loan. He'll be back in England with Leicester soon enough.

Yep, but surely he could have stayed at Wednesday for a while if he is that talented and played first team.

It's not like Leicester would be paying him that much seeing 2 million compensation seems high. And surely other clubs would be willing to pay that much if he's that talented.

Interesting article about Hirst to Leuven. Surprised there isn't a lot more of this sort of thing going on with the bigger clubs all having feeder teams across Europe.

There's always been loopholes like this in football and until they're exploited and brought into the public domain the governing bodies dont seem to actively try and close them.

For example werent PL teams sending non EU youth players out to Belgium until recently as it only took 2 years for them to gain a EU work permit? Exploits are always there to be found and with Brexit around the corner I'm sure there'll be a few new ones for UK clubs to discover.

Tbh I agree with you, at that time that Bailly fee was pricey.
That same summer, Pogba moved for 89m and everyone lost their mind. Kante moved to Chelsea of the back of a title win for 29m. Regardless of Man City overspending on Stones that summer. Bailly was bought to fix our CB position straight away. The market blew up the following summer with Neymar, Coutinho etc.
Shh, you are talking too much sense, there a shrink around, he might force you into therapy.

How in the fecking feck are they only losing the equivalent of £4-5 million on this useless player? There have also been rumours of Morata going for £50 million plus. How are they getting such inflated fees for their flops? Are they bribing the buying clubs? Do they send YouTube compilations to them? Or a Michael Owen style brochure? Tiemoue Bakayoko. €40 million. What the feck?!

Meanwhile we sell our flops making haemorrhaging money - ADM (>£15 million lost), Depay (>£15 million lost), Zaha (undisclosed fee but essentially peanuts). We also sell our highly rated youngsters for peanuts (Michael Keane for £2 million).

We are absolutely shocking as a selling club.

Never heard of him. Is he any good?

Dont watch Schalke regularly, but he is rated at Schalke. Was a regular last season, they agreed an extension before to 2022, having some beef previously with his agent and him running it down. U21 regular and won the European cup last season. Flexible defensively, can play most positions and in a back three, which is something Tuchel may play apparently. Surprising, but PSG was looking at a cheaper option to Boateng. Schalke couldnt say no to the offer, even if they agreed to an extension

Remember when we mockingly called him the black Fellaini (back when he played for Monaco) and some people were up in arms? In hindsight that was unkind on Fellaini.

Some were saying Chelsea were right replacing Matic with him and he's better for their future. It happens. Some are obsessed with defending the rivals to appear neutrals and not top reds stuff.

He is quite talented and played in one of the best defenses last season. But he had only one year left on his contract and played his first Bundesliga season. Crazy money.

But in comparision to Boateng it's probably the better deal.

That's because Depay was the most sought after youngster when we signed him and he didn't have a good season with us, I'm sure we have a buy back option if he did come good.

The Palace chairman has said we get a huge % of any amount they receive for Zaha, so that fee we sold him for would inflate if he moves from Palace. The same for Keane, we got a high % from his move from Burnley to Everton, this increasing what we sold him for.

It's quite a smart approach we adopt when selling youngsters, we go for a long term gain, sell for a small fee to a club they could blossom playing for with a high % of any figure they sell for.

The worst part of this summer is that the next summer there will be double work :

Must sell ( release ) :

-Young (age 34)
-Valencia (age 34)
-Rojo (not good enough)
-Fellaini (please)
-Mata ( It is just time to move on )

So again we must buy - CB , LB , RW , CM (to replace Fella ) , back up RB if we don't use TFM and this is if Dalot is our first choice

I think AC Milan might be a shell company these days. None of what they do makes any sense

Thilo Kehrer goes to PSG? Wow, did not see that coming, big moment for the youngster. Hope Tuchel gives him chances because this is a great opportunity to improve, playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Didnt personally think he had the talent to make it to that level but clearly Tuchel and his team have seen something in him. Hope they are right for Germanys sake as well

Have any of you read the article before firing off on your anti Pogba stance? It states he's happy to stay if he's shown support and faith without being undermined like he was last year. This ties in to the RMC report from Friday also saying the same thing.

Fecking take him then, but its gonna cost you a shitload and we’ll want a replacement first.

Yeah they can have him if they’re willing to pay £200 million.
Not particularly arsed if he leaves, he’s a trouble making prima donna anyway.

Exactly, dont want a player who doesn’t want to be here and have all this shit again like we had with De Gea, its not like hes done what Ronaldo did for us is it.

Im not anti Pogba, i love the guy, but with his comments after our game i cant see this ending any other way so get rid while hes worth the most due to the wc.

That isn't the way we'll get to where we want to be, you can only afford to do that when you're at the top. It's been stated that he would be happy to stay numerous times, so give him the captaincy and a pay rise if he continues to dominate like Friday night. You have to keep your top players happy, they are more important than managers/coaches now.

Keep Pogba and sack Mourinho next season.
Bring in a manager who will play the United way. The manager i'd want here is Zidane. He seems less difficult to get.
