City got Stones from a PL rival for 50m, we got Bailly from Villarreal. How am I contradicting myself exactly genius?

Everton is now considered a PL rival for City ? You can't be serious! Your posts are full of holes it's ridiculous at the point. For the sake of you, you should stop posting regarding this matter. You're already proven wrong.

And Bailly was highly rated by anyone who was following La Liga. Just because you don't watch it doesn't mean he was a no name.

Reminder, Everton is bigger and has more league title than City.

What the feck is that? Get a grip of yourself.

I said we laughed at City because we felt he was overpriced, which he was. Bailly at 30m was big money since most of us didn’t know what we were getting. And read the post on which the comment was referring before getting to shrink mode.

So 50m was the record price for the defenders at this summer but 30m, a whole 20m less than Stones is considered a large sum of money now and overpaying.

You said it was a large sum of money, then when got challenged by VVD price you said Bailly was signed before him and when you got told Stones was signed in this exact summer for a whole of 50m, you kept spotting nonsense everywhere to try and keep your point active when it was proven wrong, talking about laughing at the price and Everton being PL rival for City.

Your point was proven wrong. Bailly was bought for a very reasonable price at a time defenders were starting to cost +50m. Get over it and enjoy the rest of your life instead of contradicting yourself and spotting nonsense all over the place.

And again, the fact you didn't know Bailly means nothing. He was rated by all La Liga followers. Just because you didn't know him doesn't mean he was a no name. You're not the center of football.

You just mentioned the two transfers United fans laughed at City fans the most. And it was not the point, I said we improved that defence with two big money CB arrivals, which we did.
City was laughed at because they paid CB world record fee after Stones had a terrible season by all standard. It's the way they conduct their transfer, not that the fee itself which at this point in time it's inevitable.

Mangala was laughed at with hindsight and many so called United fans were put to shame to hype this guy up.

So we can't just improve more?

"You can't say no to Real Madrid... ;)"

Mariano Diaz replying an AS.com article about him supposedly saying he didn't want to come back, haha. Winkwinknudgenudge.

What the feck are you on about? How about try reading what I said before making assumptions? I never said overpaying, where the feck have you read that? I said we added two pricey CBs, which at 30-40m they were. Try reading correctly next time, instead of wasting people’s time. Those last two posts are laughable, and sincerely I don’t know how did you come out with crap like that.

Of course we can. How it’s a different issue.

Wasn't it a loan deal with no option to buy? This seems more like a goodbye message

It's a loan without option to buy, although seeing his behavior these last weeks I think he won't come back

Someone will buy him eventually, Real will lower the price if they have to and a European club will buy him (maybe not necessarily Chelsea). He doesnt want to sit on the bench

What utter tripe, for a start I still haven't said that Ed had a good window.

Luck has nothing to do with it, and I haven't made a single excuse for Ed, because I'm not actually defending him as such.

All I have said, and it really is extremely simple, is that you as an individual can't judge Ed because you know nothing about the workings of the club, or the positions Ed were in.

You could be right, he could have had an absolute mare of a window, but equally, the Glazers could have leant on him to not spend so much, or a million other scenarios.

You don't know.

That is the point.

Ed is not beholden to Jose, so just because Jose asked for 5,doesn't mean the club agreed, so he may never have been trying to buy 5 players in the first place.

Again... You don't know.

Neither do I. Chances are, no one on the caf does.

This conversation isn't about whether he was successful, it is about whether you or I are in the position to judge, and neither of us is.

Edit - I should point out, I'm not saying the Glazers aren't in position to judge him, they are. They're just about the only people that are
Thanks for agreeing with me.
Have a good night, mate.

Love seeing Tottenham miss out on a player due to penny pinching. Levy's stance of demanding a king's ransom for his own players, while offering feck all for players he wants to buy is annoying.

Still remember his Martial bid, the absolute tit.

Offered 25m for Martial in 2017 summer but Everton paid 50m for fecking average CAM. He's just double standard

You making things up now.

Bailly and Lindelof cost 30m each. Combined 60m.

Stones was 50m and VVD 75m.

Hope this helps.
Bailly was actually 34.2 m pounds and Lindelof was 31.5 now when I checked, I am making things up as much as you really. I said pricey and people got all worked up over nothing, numerous times I said between 30-40m. And it was not the point, I was replying to a poster and the point was nothing about whether the price was right or not.

Hope this helps.

Tottenham will certainly miss out on top four this season, they will go back to their usual state, mid table team.

TLDR

Same question here. Real insisted on only loan. No clauses

Same deal like with Mbappe. Chelsea didn't buy him this summer because of FFP. Don't forget Kovacic not Real rejected United. So Real was ready to sell him right away. And for sure Mateo is not a type of player who would go on loan to one club and then change for another next summer. Also Madrid coach said that they'll find great replacement (Alcantara?) and you don't go to buy player like that to replace boy on loan. This massage is clearly faraway. Great job Marina!

"Although Valencia have been unable to significantly improve their offer worth €40 million in terms of the transfer fee, with Mendes' help, an agreement is close because of the inclusion of a substantial sell-on clause.
In order to get as close to PSG's €60m asking price as possible, Valencia are able to pay a little less than €45m with a sell-on clause of at least 20 percent of whatever Guedes might be sold for in the future."

Tbh I agree with you, at that time that Bailly fee was pricey.
That same summer, Pogba moved for 89m and everyone lost their mind. Kante moved to Chelsea of the back of a title win for 29m. Regardless of Man City overspending on Stones that summer. Bailly was bought to fix our CB position straight away. The market blew up the following summer with Neymar, Coutinho etc.
