If it was Chelsea, he’d be going for around £25m....much as though I’d prefer him to be out of the club, Utd really are poor negotiators.
£11.4m (€13m) would be decent business for Darmian given that we only bought him for £12.7m (€18m at the time) 3 years ago and he only has 1 year left on his contract.

Remember him saying some time ago (when Cavani and Lavezzi were leaving) that he wanted to be Napoli's Totti. Refreshing to see a player live up to claims of loyalty for a change. Similar with Nainggolan and Roma.
Yeah that's probably it. He's adored there.

How many of his clauses do you think have been activated?

Only one clause out of 3 has been activated. He hasn't played enough games for France for the 2nd one (and won't do so because he's not going to the world cup) and he hasn't won the Balondor for the 3rd one.

As it stands We'd have paid £36m + £7m for one clause. So Martial has cost us roughly 50m euros.

Aye that’s what I thought. So we will be making a slight profit on him. Disappointing nonetheless if we don’t get above €80m for him.

He's cost us €60M as the contract was in euros. Paid €50M for transfer alone, then €10M for scoring 25 goals.

Im a bit mixed on it. We overpaid for him in the first place, The two add-ons were 25 goals for United in 4 seasons and 25 caps for France in 4 seasons which are both quite straight forward to achieve without being a good player. The 3rd one obviously pays for itself since its the Balondor.

Forgot about the exchange rate being better when we bought him (bloody Brexit). So thanks for that!

Mandzukic and Sandro in for Martial and Darmian would be fine by me. If we could get Dybala or Pjanic thrown into the mix too that would be perfect.

Id love Mandzukic at United, a brilliant backup striker who can also run the channels.
Can see why Jose would want him, Dzeko would be a good alternative.

We would be lucky to get Mandzukic and Sandro.
Asking for Pjanic and Dybala would be stretching it, they won't sell us almost half their squad especially with them about to loose Buffon and Chiellini.

Think Dzeko is better than Mandzukic but if Mourinho is looking for a hard working CF, Mandzukic is the man as he is way more mobile than Dzeko, but Dzeko is so much more physical.

Ah sorry thought we'd paid more. Fwiw, we wouldn't have got €80m for him. Monaco inserted a 50% sell on clause for any fee between €60-100m.

Edit: @Damien was right, the exchange rate did me.
That was only if no clauses had been activated.

We're currently on 2.5.3 so if we get between €70-90m (not happening unless we sell within the league) then 50% of the difference is split.

Džeko is a more profilic striker but Mandžo's all round game is a bit better, not to mention he's very good with his head. I think he'd be a good backup striker and would work well in our gameplay. Also he gives his all on the pitch every game.

Like the sound of that

Lots of clickbaity Italian nonsense this morning. The fact that the likes of Di Marzio, Romano et al are silent on much of this is telling.

No Italian transfer happens without those guys talking about it.

Won't see much transfer news today, it seems media are all focussed on UCL.

True, although you can bet they would be tweeting about stories that they had credible news on.

Seems some of our recent tweets are descending back into clickbait sources from tabloid and/or aggregator sites who know feck all.

that's some stupid journalism, how can the price be higher than a release clause, if it's met, then the decision lies on the player.
Inter have an option to buy on the loan set at €38m. The player's buyout clause with Valencia is higher than that, so unless inter use their option, he goes back to valencia and then they make the price they want(up to his buyout clause, of which i don't the price)
