Maybe people really are overrating Meunier here...
Probably due to him scoring goals. People on reddit who watch him more say he's a liability defensively:

Meunier is a defensive liability. He doesn't know how to defend 1v1, can't get a ball in the air despite being 6'3"" (1.9m)... but for sure, he score golazos at times.
He's too tall as full back. It's not weird he has problems when he faced pacy & agile dribbler.

Honestly, Belgium doesn't have good full backs they need from side. Seems like back 3 is better choice then back 4 is. At least, they have really good CBs.

I havent seen that much of him, but he came on in the second half against Madrid in the CL and madrid had a lot of attacks down his flank. He had Alves ahead of him too...

I genuinely cant keep up. I have no clue who Cancelo is either.

Pepe Reina has confirmed in an interview with Corriere dello Sport that he will indeed be joining AC Milan this summer. "It will be another amazing experience, with one of the most important clubs in the world."

Can't say that I have watched much of Milan this season, so what does this mean for Donnarumma?

Fred and Fekir close positionally

We are never going to get Fekir because we have a plethora of talent there. Pogba, Sanchez, Lingard and Mata can all play behind the striker.

Fred is a defensive (literally) midfielder. A mix between a number 6 and 8. No manager in the world would consider them as the same profile.

You haven't gathered much.

Fair enough. I’d (mis) labelled Fred, thought he was someone who harried from an advanced midfield position ala Park Ji-Sung or worked the right like Ramires did during his latter Chelsea years. My mistake.

Sounds like he can be a great option sitting in a double pivot or in a midfield three.

Before anyone comes up with "how come they are paying so less in wages", its 4 million post tax.

AS reckon Jurgen Klopp has made two offers (€50m and €100m) for Asensio over the past year.

La Gazzetta dello Sport insists Cancelo is between United and Juventus, with Inter not having given up just yet. According to the article, the price will be higher than the 39m clause, closer to 50m.

Inter wants to further (Lautaro Martinez) strengthen their attack according to calciomercato. Many names mentioned in the article such as Mahrez, Thauvin, Marlos (Shakthar), Lamela, Verdi, Politano.

Are City trying to buy so many players they have enough to field 4 different teams for each competition?

Always wonderer why Hamsik hasn't moved abroad in all these years. Heard some stories he can't cause of the mafia, dont know how much truth is in it.

The latest talk was that the coaching staff and his team mates aren't too happy with him, don't know how much truth there is in it though.
With the way he's conducted himself over the last week or so, whoring himself out to the highest bidder, I'm not surprised he's put some noses out of joint. Thankfully he seems to have burned his bridges with us, hope he ends up in China making £300k a week.

Cant see him going to China though, at least i hope so. I dont cate where he ends up actually, dont want to see him in the PL playing for a rival though. Seems that Napoli are losing quite a few players and their manager this summer

If it was Chelsea, he’d be going for around £25m....much as though I’d prefer him to be out of the club, Utd really are poor negotiators.
What 25 million pounds for Darmian, from Juve?
We signed him for 14 mill Euros or something, when he was a highly rated youngish RB.

that's some stupid journalism, how can the price be higher than a release clause, if it's met, then the decision lies on the player.

Doubt it, to be fair he's completely useless. Only make a loss of 2m after 3 years isn't so bad.

Remember him saying some time ago (when Cavani and Lavezzi were leaving) that he wanted to be Napoli's Totti. Refreshing to see a player live up to claims of loyalty for a change. Similar with Nainggolan and Roma.
