What? I'd love him at City! Disrupting dressing room atmosphere, Pep or money, flying to Brazil for his sisters birthday, choosing which game to play. Wonderful.

If someone like Neymar whos not even the best in the world costed nearly 200m then De Gea who is the best in the world in his position should cost nothing less than 250m so Real better pay the juicy fee if they want him, other option would be lower fee but throw in maybe Kroos and someone else, if not then quite frankly they can feck off.

Neymar: I would like to work with Guardiola

Wouldn't mind if he goes to City. His attitude there may destroy the chemistry they've developed if he makes it all about him. Sure if it works they're even more miles ahead of us but if it doesn't work out it turns into a clusterfeck.

They didn't want to give into Sanchez' demands in case it made De Bruyne mad, goes to show if they are actually interested in Neymar that that whole bit was pure posturing

Neymar is considerably better than Sanchez (and more marketable), this isn’t an algorithm.

Exactly. And Carvajal who is the best RB should cost 250 mi too!

If we get Milinkovic Savic and we have to sell Pogba, Would anyone want to get Isco instead?

Probably because he's a bit of a Giroud type - experienced player, inexpensive, and has a few goals in him. We could do with a bit of experience to balance out the likes of Martial, Rashford et al

Agreed.
Anyone who mentions Mandzukic's age probably does not really know him. The guy is super fit. A real beast. His stamina is inexhaustible. He runs and runs and runs even at 32. For a back up striker and if we still have plans for Rashford, Mario will be an almost perfect choice. Another thing is that we can do with an extra person who is used to winning silverware. We have a number of inexperienced guys in our final third. Mandzukic has a winning mentality.

Being considerably better is irrelevant when the reason they didn't want to pay him was to not upset the squad and their salaries. It's a stance they pretended to take and now they'll go back on that word, I just find it funny.

It’s not really irrelevant though. If it were that rigid, it would be equal to having a policy of ‘we will not sign any footballers better than Kevin de Bruyne’, which of course would be a ridiculous policy to have. Better players than Kevin would earn more than him. The fact that KdB earns more than other, less good players in the City squad is not upsetting the squad, just as Neymar earning more than Kevin wouldn’t. Sanchez earning significantly more than Kevin may be a problem though, as he’s not really better than him necessarily.

Redcafe where 32 is the new 72

I wouldnt mind a 32 year old if it was a World-class player - but this is Mario Mandzukic who (apart from 2 seasons in Bayern) hasn't even been a prolific goalscorer.

So we would get more if we sold him for 59m?

Not so good with math I guess.

If he sells for €80m then Monaco would get €5m.

Completely irrelevant anyways as he’s not worth anywhere near that. I would be shocked if we got our money back on him in a straight cash transfer.
