Isn't it four years?
Its just the Mail fluffing a story out for clicks, the British press have been nowhere with this but an inaccurate article by Di Marzio has opened the floodgates.
Yes he signed for 5+1 years.

So guys, is it okay to panic now? I know it's a rule to not moan in this thread and I'm not going to but seriously, could anyone imagine when the window opened that with 1 day to deadline we would only have signed Fred and a RB prospect? Feck I was hoping we could get Maguire but that seems off the table now, is Toby really still an option with Levy being impossible no negotiate with? At the start of the window I thought Willian would not be a very good option but fecking hell now I would do anything to get him. No LB signed either Lord Ashley please save us. We need to get a couple decent players in before deadline which honestly seems impossible now with the short ammount of time left, I'm hoping for the best, but planning for bitter dissappointment :(

I am very happy Thurstday is around the corner. Sick of this transfer window. On the other hand, I'll take anybody right now. Just wish club to deny some stupid rumours, otherwise we will have to listen "Pogba to Barca" ,"Boateng rejected United" all season long.

The whole Boateng thing sounds like an invention; surely we would have ascertained the player’s interest before making a bid, as is the usual way of things.

Indeed we would. It would also be courteous in such a situation to inform said player that we're close to agreeing a deal for a different player and therefore won't be pursuing him any longer (which, I would suggest, is what's happened here).

That cat reliable? The problem isn't Pogba's replacement as much as Barca's unwillingness to pay what he's worth to us. There is no way they will break their own transfer record for him, which is quite obviously what it would take or some very lucrative part-exchanges. I don't like how he hasn't addressed any of those rumours himself.

This!

"The player told him he wants to leave or he won't play for United" :wenger:

He has a good track record, he got the sun rising in the east right.

Surely Chelsea’s sensible move is bring navas in other direction

That Boateng calling Mourinho to say he’s not coming here is likely bullshit, but still, the optics aren’t great for us

These journalists are laughable. So United wouldn’t offer a player what Everton would? Why do people listen to some of them.

that’s not that far fetched actually. we. Everton seen quite bullish in the transfer market and they being willing to pay wages we don’t consider a wise investment is not that crazy. Especially when we are not even that weak at CB

They'll need to pay the extortionate wages Pogba will demand as well.

Alvarez Haya is a Manchester-based Spanish correspondent for ElChiringuito and LaSexta, covering Manchester City (He's a City/Pep fan). He's been reliable for City, but I wouldn't trust him with United news. He's still a legit source though.

Yeah, in all likelihood Raiola has just been briefing everyone. Acting on the wishes of his client.

That journalist wrote another tweet saying if Pogba ends up staying he will surely play, so how the hell he's saying in that first tweet that Pogba said he will leave or won't play for United ?

He's contradicting himself to make drama and be in good place whatever the situation ends. BS.

Feel like Raiola tries every chance to put his clients on front foot when the clubs show sign of weakness. Lukaku, Zlatan (pre injury, asking for longer contract than the one year option), Donnarumma, Justin Kluivert... Zlatan and Donnarumma cases, the players never looked like leaving, but all the noise was in the press.

I'd love it if all of a sudden players and agents started suing these journos and their publications for clear lies. Unfortunately the agents like the buzz too much and the players probably just laugh at it all or not even listen to any of it but are told their wages will go up with more noise.

Transfer has exploded as expected. Just hope we end up on the right side of all the last minute deals.

If Pogba is that desperate to go I hope we rinse Barce for him. I'd expect at least Rakitic in return and I'd hope we go for Dembele although I can't see that one working too well.

No way Pogba leaves it this late to push a move through if he’s that desperate to go. Wouldn’t write it off next summer, but this won’t happen any time soon.

You'd expect Real to be interested next summer as well with Modric possibly leaving, if not this year then next.

So Bayern wanted to offload boateng . Their media brought it up.. said we offered less than what they wanted and then said the player doesn't want to move..

Ok. Don't care .Never did. They are looking to offload a player on huge wages . They are getting desperate .

I would be willing to put money on PSG not bring interested at all .

Dude can chose not to play and rot in reserves when you still have 4 years left in the contract .. Unless its Messi coming the other way, he will stay 100% this season .

If this is the attitude from him, people will rally behind Jose .

Watch us be linked with a hundred CM's in the next 36 hours

Crazy to say but if we got Rakitic and Dembele involved in the deal I'd be tempted. This is presuming Pogba doesn't want to be here, always been of the opinion that there's no point having a player who doesn't want to be here. I want players who are proud to play for the club and know the shirt means. Again its probably all bs anyway mind you

If Pogba wanted to leave he should have made it clear at the start of the window. Even if he's unhappy he's going to have to tough it now until at least January since there's simply no time to replace someone of his caliber. And who knows how the season will go by then.

This is just pure noise from Raiola, preparing the way for a pay raise for his client. I say we let him show us what he can do when motivated, then give him a bump on his pay.
Pogba is one of those players we cannot allow to leave.
