I wonder if Chris Wheeler has ever written anything positive about United.

I've resigned myself to the fact we'll probably be signing no one. Plus out of all the players we've been linked with in the CB position, only Maguire and Alderweireld will really improve us. I just can't wait for Friday when this wretched window will be closed and we can just look forward to watching the side and following the players we've got.

Why are Spurs so intent on signing Grealish? Unless he plays deeper in midfield I'm not seeing a place for him. Does he not play in the #10 position where Eriksen plays?

They are overly desperate for homegrown players and I think he can play slightly deeper also.

Barcelona talking to him without permission then?

And nobody cares what was ‘agreed’ as there is the small matter of a 3 year contract remaining, so feck off.
Isn't it four years?
Its just the Mail fluffing a story out for clicks, the British press have been nowhere with this but an inaccurate article by Di Marzio has opened the floodgates.

Daily Mail look like the most in the world that really, really want Pogba to leave to write some rubbish about United and Mourinho after that.

lol 2nd CB. Why do these journos not go for some slightly believable BS at least.

If we do get Toby for 40m I could see them trying to get Maguire too. See Rojo and Smalling go, then Darmian at the end of the month when Valencia gets back.

It will take a lot more than £40m at this stage especially now we seemingly have no alternative. Wouldn't Spurs need a replacement in as well?
Not really he didn’t feature much last season for them. They need to be realistic, around £40m is a fair price.

That’s not an insanely high price considering the state of the market.

He always seemed like a poor mans Wilshere to me though.

Ones a winger the other is a CM.

Media are just trying to find anyway to bash Chelsea and United this summer. Again Bernard is not going to turn down Chelsea and London to move to Liverpool.

£25m is a decent price for a backup option even for Spurs. If he proves to be good enough to start it's just a bonus.

Levy trying to get himself a bargain maybe? When the rumours first started, Villa were in financial difficulties and it sounded like Levy was right in there to take advantage, but now things have changed for Villa but Spurs are still low-balling them - might just be an ego move for Levy; not sure Grealish adds much to them on the pitch as things stand.

They prepared for that scenario from latter stage of this past season. Dier can play CB. They're trying to get a midfielder in, so no loss if Dier to play more as CB. Have been linked to few.

Yeah. I don't believe in fee quoted by these journalist. Seems to swing however make the most click and reaction.

"De Jong yes. Pogba no. Barça will try again to sign the young midfielder for 50m€"

Oh my, what an absolute shambles this transfer window has been, we have struggled to get players by sheer incompetence of the board and players not wanting to join because of Jose playing style and treatment of players, can’t say I blame them. This season is going to get messy and I’d truly be surprised if Jose is still the manager come Christmas

Jesus fecking Christ do you read your own posts? Why do you believe everything that is written?

dont see why Barca need another midfielder when Puig has done so well in preseason.
Barcelona has not used the Masía properly for some time. Competition for Puig and Aleñá too, who should make a small jump forward this year.

busquets, rakitic, vidal, gomes, arthur, samper, alena and puig and I think even roberto has played centrally in pre-season and thats his favoured position. how many more central midfielders do they want? Yes only a few of them can play the 6 role but de jong isnt quite a 6 just yet.

The whole Boateng thing sounds like an invention; surely we would have ascertained the player’s interest before making a bid, as is the usual way of things.
